[Xen-users] Anyone able to compile Nvidia on Ubuntu 7.10 or Fedora 8
Hi, Is there anyone following this list who could compile any version of nvidia driver on Ubuntu 7.10 or Fedora 8 running XEN? (kernels 2.6.22-14 for Ubuntu or 2.6.21 for Fedora 8 ) Thanks, Emre Erenoglu erenoglu@gmail.com _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

If you want nvdia proprietary drivers to work with xen, the effort should come from Nvidia, I think. --Sadique> > Thanks, > > Emre Erenoglu > erenoglu@gmail.com <mailto:erenoglu@gmail.com> > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Re: [Xen-users] Anyone able to compile Nvidia on Ubuntu 7.10 or Fedora 8
HI Sadique, Thanks for your response. However, we used to be able to use nvidia modules with some patches in the past. I''m reading some success still with latest versions, however, I never got it to work with Fedora 8 or Ubuntu 7.10kernel. some patches applied to the kernel seems to block the build (nvidia build process can''t find kernel version somehow). I''m a home XEN user, so I need it not only for 3D, but for better performance (scrolling is not good on my system with nv) and TV-Out.
