Citrix would support it and you don''t have to bother about sending mails to mailing lists. This doesn''t come with a management interface by default, but if you use fedora or other distros you can use the tools shipped with the distribution - like virt-manager and virt-install - to manage the virtual guests. --Sadique> > Thanks > > Marco > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Such as network or disk I/O, cpu and memory access? What is the real value of the PV drivers that Igor mentioned? I don''t know of any other optimisations in the product; much of the benefit of XenEnterprise is in the management tools and the integration of licensed technologies from other vendors (e.g there was an announcement about backup technology being integrated a while back). The PV drivers for Windows implement higher performance block and network devices using the same techniques used by paravirtualised Linux. These should result in better IO performance - massively better, for some tasks. James Harper has been working on GPL''d Windows PV drivers and describing his progress on the xen-devel mailing list. He''s got an experimental block device driver up and running. Cheers, Mark -- Dave: Just a question. What use is a unicyle with no seat? And no pedals! Mark: To answer a question with a question: What use is a skateboard? Dave: Skateboards have wheels. [Xen-users] XEN Windows XP OpenSuSE 10.3 - read-only
Hello! Im trying to install Windows XP under XEN on OpenSuSE 10.3 from within yast. Everything works fine until i try to select the cdrom as installation source. I comes up with an error "Error 30 - Read-only file system: /dev/had" Well yes... it''s a cdrom so its read-only. There is no other way to mount the cd from within the setup gui so it must be a bug. How do I get around i? Im running xen-3.1.0_15042-51, kernel 2.6.22.13-0.3. Thanks for any help! RE: [Xen-users] XEN Windows XP OpenSuSE 10.3 - read-only
You could try extracting the CD as an ISO image and "mount -o loop" the image onto a mount point. -----Original Message----- From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [mailto:xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of Olsson, Mattias Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2007 8:21 AM To: xen-users Subject: [Xen-users] XEN Windows XP OpenSuSE 10.3 - read-only Hello!
