[Xen-users] Sluggish user interface using Windows XP in a virtual domain
I have a working installation of Windows XP as a virtual domain running from its own disk partition. Dom0 is OpenSuse 10.1. 500 Mb is allocated to Windows XP I have found that the user interface in Windows XP seems quite sluggish, both using CDL and VNC. Is this normal? And if not are there any pointers to overcoming the problem? [Sorry, it''s hard to keep track of exactly which variant is used for which distro]. There''s been a few improvements in the latest version, so you may want to give the RC2 of 3.0.3 a try. But the virtual user interface has a rather severe performance loss simply because of the rather complicated chain of processing needed to achieve a screen draw or mouse-move. -- Mats> > Peter. > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users > > >_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Why not use the Remote Desktop? That''s the usual way of accessing a remote server. And it''s not sluggish, it''s ok.
