Rodrigo-- Didn''t work for me either...I had to use ARCH=x86_64 (of course, this is for a 64-bit OS, yours might be different...look in the arch/ subdir for possibilities). I''ve come across a couple of disconnects between the documentation and reality...good luck. I''m still trying to get my installation running... --Brian On Mon, May 15, 2006 at 10:48:19AM -0400, Rodrigo Lord wrote:> Hi! > > I`m trying to install xen 3.0.2 on my Debian system! > But, the "make ARCH=xen menuconfig" don`t work!_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Good to know, thanks...maybe someone can update the docs when they get a chance... --Brian> There is no need on xen-3.0.2 to use ARCH=xen. Hi! I`m trying to install xen 3.0.2 on my Debian system! But, the "make ARCH=xen menuconfig" don`t work! debian:/home/peso/xen-3.0.2/xen-3.0.2/linux-2.6.16-xen0# make ARCH=xen menuconfig Makefile:439: /home/peso/xen-3.0.2/xen-3.0.2/linux-2.6.16-xen0/arch/xen/Makefile: No such file or directory make: *** No rule to make target `/home/peso/xen-3.0.2/xen-3.0.2/linux- 2.6.16-xen0/arch/xen/Makefile''. Stop. My kernel of xen is booting, but it`s strange... the command "xm" don`t exist, the daemon xend don`t exit too... and another things! Thanks! _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
If you want to configure the kernel change to dir linux-2.6.16-xen and enter make menuconfig, just omit ARCH=xen I dont know why, but the same happens on my server. Andreas Am Montag, 15. There is no need on xen-3.0.2 to use ARCH=xen. Just use "make menuconfig" and select Processor type and features ---> Subarchitecture Type (Xen-compatible) Brian Koontz wrote:>Rodrigo-- > >Didn''t work for me either...I had to use > >ARCH=x86_64 (of course, this is for a 64-bit OS, yours might be >different...look in the arch/ subdir for possibilities). > >I''ve come across a couple of disconnects between the documentation and >reality...good luck.
