Hello, respekt to your whole work on the Wine Project. But i have tried to make many Windows applications running with wine but nothing is working expecting the apps that are delivered with the wine package. I've tested it with an Ubuntu 10.04, 10.10, 11.04, 11.10 -> Nothing! I have used winetricks -> Nothing! Are there any hints to get, for example, the Amazon Kindle or the Evernote App, working? Could it be that Wine has general problems with ATi Graphic Cards? Thanks in Advance! gooze
Example: When i try to install the Kindle App with Winetricks i get after downloading the *.exe an sha1sum mismatch with the hint to rename the file an d try it again!

This forum is for plain Wine. The best place to look for tips for various apps is the AppDB. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=10597> Could it be that Wine has general problems with ATi Graphic Cards? That could certainly be the problem for any 3D game or app.
Solution for the Kindle app. After i have installed the Visual C++ Runtime from 2008 vcrun2008 (with winetricks) the Kindle App works! :D I have installed the Kindle App from the German site manually. It seems that the winetricks script uses an old download link where the sha1sum has changed. Next step: Evernote !
