I am trying to install the Watchtower Library 2010 for my mum. When i try to run the program from the link on the desktop, i get an hourglass icon for a few seconds, then nothing. when i try run it from a terminal, i get a ton of errors about mfc90u. so i tried to install vcrun2008 with winetricks vcrun2008 when i do that i get a pop up dialog saying "could not write to installation log file, check the that the file is not locked" and thats it. i have googled this, but my google-fu is lacking tonight. please help, i need this sorted by thursday.

...can't get it to install. I'm using winetricks, could try just browsing to the executable. What happens is that the installer opens up and when I tell it to install, it immediately tells me 'this product is not supported on this operating system.' I know this has come up quite a few times. Its that same r6034 error except I have vcrun2005 and when I try to install vcrun2008 with winetricks I get....The same error! So I can't upgrade because of the error and a loooot of my programs wont work because of it now. Is there a previous version I need first and have to install them in order?

...d crashes with the Relics crash dialog. I tried with different wine versions (atm 1.1.42 and 1.2) under Debian lenny 32bit (Linux 2.6.32) and Ubuntu Lucid 64bit with different fglrx versions. My graphics hardware is a Radeon HD 4200. Via winetrix I installed d3dx9, gecko, ie6, ie7, vcrun2005, and vcrun2008 and copied my CoH installation from Windows 7 RC 64bit (with/without using CoH profile from Win7). Any hints? TIA Martin

In current git, when I attempt to run winetricks vcrun2005 or vcrun2008, the installation completes in console, but the overrides do not get installed in windows/system32.
