[Wine] The Big List of Steam Games on GNU/Linux, the wiki!
Hello everyone! I've spent the last couple of months working on a wiki that contains what the thread title says: a list of Steam games that are either native to GNU/Linux or are runnable in Wine, categorized by their AppDB rankings. A bunch of people at the Steam forums have been working on it, but it looks like a lot of people here use Steam to get their games, so it seemed to make sense to post here: http://steamlinux.flibitijibibo.com/ I should note that this is NOT some attempt to replace the WineHQ AppDB. In fact, we depend on the AppDB to have the most accurate information. However, we think that this makes a great reference site for those of us that use Steam, and we'd really appreciate any help we can get in making it as complete/updated as possible. Thanks!

Just a note: I wouldn't call the native games with the "DOSBox" comment native if they use DOSBox. That should be a whole new category. Anyway, nice effort. Better make sure it stays up to date. ;)

I don't see the purpose of the 'native game' page (or at least its current usage). It may be useful to point out a native version exists, but for many of the titles having a Steam license doesn't mean you're able to go and download a Linux build (e.g. Braid) and so other than Dosbox titles these games should be listed in the appropriate platinum/gold, silver/bronze pages as well.

More often than not you can get linbins if you ask the developer or look on their website. Some examples that I've done first-hand are id Software games and The Polynomial.

flibitijibibo something major you have missed. Wine gold plat ratings are depending on what version wine you have. Really I still think for wine rating stuff altering the appdb todo it would be the best way. Since it will not have the issue of drifting out of date. flibitijibibo the appdb source code is in the git repos of wine. So its open for any web developer todo alterations and apply for it to be include mainline. This is one of the key points. Wine really needs it core sites to be the best. Creating sites to work around core site issues is not the best way forwards.
