wine users - Mar 2011 - Perfect World Genesis on wine

Hi, I'm new to using wine but was recomended by a friend. 
I loaded wine and managed to get Genesis to sucessfully installed it using wine.
but every time I try to start up the game a window pops up with a bunch of
random symbols and gives me the choice of 'yes' or 'no' when I
click no it shuts down. when i click yes it runs Perfect world Rising tide and
then freezes up. could anyone please help me or at least point me in the right
direction?

They suggest various things, including trying wine-1.2.2.
