[Wine] Error Encountered When Running Roller Coaster Tycoon 2
I have recently been trying to install RCT2 on my Mac (OSX 10.5). I have
attempted both Wine (1.3.9) and CrossOver, both of which hit the same error when
I attempt to run the game:
"The program rct2.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to
close."
I ran RTC2 in wine using command line and it spit out the following information:

Currently, I am using the "Emulate a virtual desktop" option in wine
as that seems to be standard from what I have collected from various posts.
Other than that, I have tried other things but most of the options have been
returned to their standard settings.
I also have a slightly different situation from most other users as I am not
running RCT2 from a disc, I have a digital copy. Not sure if that will make a
difference in the end.
Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance!

It includes a functional xrandr which allows running some programs full screen and to allow real-time resizing of X11 windows for others (Quake2 is my test program for graphics testing and it works beautifully, except the final cutaway scene, in Wine 1.3.9 with XQuartz 2.5.3. XQuartz 2.6.0 will be installed, maybe tonight, and testing conducted again.) As always, I recommend using MacPorts or Fink to install Wine as they also pull in required dependencies so you don't have to look all over the Internet for them. WineSkin and WineBottler make creating custom bottles and installing some programs easier. James McKenzie
