I recently installed wine 1.2 on ubuntu 10.10 64 bit, but it won't run any exe at all. Everytime i get a error like this- The file '/media/AA90A79490A76593/downloads/utorrent.exe' is not marked as executable. If this was downloaded or copied from an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run. For more details, read about the executable bit. Any help will be appreciated Thanks
Safe guard. The warning it telling you exactly what has to happen. Linux has a permission bit for executables that must be set to run it. Also with utorrent there is a Linux native web-server version that runs many times better than utorrent in wine.

We produce Wine as a 32 bit application and no reports of it not being able to run on any of the 64 bit platforms, including MacOSX (which I run in 64 bit mode.) James McKenzie
