Hello, I'm using steam on wine for a long time now, after an update a couple of weeks ago my Steam.exe displays an error : "Steam.exe (main exception): Cannot open blob archive file: CMultiFieldBlob(mem-mapped file): Failed to MapViewOfFile" I'm not using a NTFS partition tu install steam or tu run wine. So I'm a bit helpless I hope you guys can help me

If you deleted the wine directory as instructed or correctly removed the Steam directory (as is advised in AppDB) you should not still have this issue. I suspect at some point you have run Steam as root or via sudo and that is the cause of this problem.
I deleted the ~wine directory for root as well as for my user (I'm using Ubuntu) This didn't solve the problem :( after the re-installation and creation of a ne wine directory -> same problem sorry for the long delay
edit:with Sudo msiexec everything is fine but installation for root just tried

First, thanks to everyone who is trying to solve this problem the problem is the steam.exe, after the installation steaminstall.msi starts the installed steam.exe to complete the installation by loading some files from the web. Executed in the terminal the error is: Code: err:virtual:NtMapViewOfSection map_file_into_view 0x6d0000 101000 000000000 failed
