We need terminal output in order to help you. Read the user guide : http://www.winehq.org/docs/wineusr-guide/index Then, test the game and report your results to http://appdb.winehq.org

The game runs stable . Better performance than win 7 . I havent the timesynk problem and im from Sweden (eu) All features works , but not Mouselook . Im new to wine , maby i got the game running thru luck , i dont know. Check my vid on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d7m4e5pva4 If we get the mouse to work its Gold ++++ .
when i started the screen went black with som login text . Just do one or many filechecks in Launcher . Then it works .
No , i havent . To be honest i cant compile anything yet , Im still Noob on linux . Only have Linux like 2 month . And love it ;)
hia. Now i am at the same step as you. after allot of tweaking and fixing i got the game to patch and run smooth and swell. Only problem now is the mouselook problem. I have not yet tried patching whine, but all in due time. There are a few other application that have mouseissues. I know wolfenstein Multiplayer have the same problem as we do, so if we can start trying patches we might learn something. Ill keep trying. please keep me updated on your progress. Coala
I think that if one of the wine " elites " can try download the trial and compile it with diffrent mousehacks it might work . And hope he / she makes a noobie guide how to .
what windows are you running the app in ?
Work with wine-1.1.31 and some patch (3) http://omploader.org/vMzVmeQ http://omploader.org/vMzVnMA http://omploader.org/vMzVnMg Not find but playable , patch from http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10318
I have now tried with your patches, but The mouse still dont work for me. Have you tried Fallen Earth ? or what game where you talking about when you said "Work with wine-1.1.31 and some patch (3)" regards
ok. I partially got the mouse working. but it stutters, and warps around. Tried a few variants of WINEFORCEMOUSEWARP and such, but no luck. any ideas ?
tell me how to get the mouse work =? Im still a noob at wine . Thanks . And thanks for the work to fix the mouse ,
I did as love2hate said. I compiled wine 1.1.31 from source with the 3 patches he posted. you can use this guide for patching and compiling. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-7ed3c3163e2b932ee2030a48f9c5e553dc41817b This link if you want to install wine 1.1.31 as an additional one, and keep your old wine intact. http://jeffhoogland.blogspot.com/2009/12/howto-install-multiple-wine-versions-on.html Thats the steps I did to get where i am now. But still my mouse is allmost unplayable. It lags around and runs anything but smooth.
the guide but it says that it doesnt work on 64 bits machine

What have i missed =? when i type winecfg-1.1.31 it works but the mousepatch doesnt ? I probally didnt patch it right . Must ill do something in regedit =?
type: wine --version if you have 2 instances of wine that command should say: wine-1.1.35 or whatever wine version you have as primary. then try run: env WINEPREFIX=~/wine-someversion wine-someversion wine --version (depending on path you used. that should say: wine-1.1.31 or what ever version you installed the winepatch to. Then you need to run env WINEPREFIX=~/wine-someversion wine-someversion sh winetricks and install the needed stuff. then launch with: env WINEPREFIX=~/wine-someversion wine-someversion FEUpdater.exe
env WINEPREFIX=~/wine-1.1.31 wine-1.1.31 sh winetricks wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\sh.exe": Module not found SO far so good

What y wrote were jiberich to me
follow the guide i posted. the one about installing 2 wine versions. you can just copy paste from there. the use the info I posten in the last post.
you need to specify what wine version you want to use. thats the prefix thingy. if you follow the guide, you can use the commands i posted. 100% the same i did.
Davvvve wrote:> i have 1.1.35 as primary and want to add my compiled / patched wine as secondary. The only way you can do that is if you DO NOT install your self-compiled version. And run it directly from the compile dir.
Could you elabourate please vitamin? Am I helping Davvve, or am I making it worse? Atleast This worked for me.
So the best thing i can do atm is to install a version i must compile self , 1.1.35 and 1.1.31 =?
yes. you will have to compile it yourself to get to the stage i am at now. but you only need to compile the 1.1.31, the 1.1.35 you can keep as you have.
I have compiled it like the guide said . but i cant get it to work ,
This is enough: Code: WINEPREFIX=/path/to/wineprefix winetricks
THANKS . now it worked but i need to sudo su before i typed like that
Davvvve. Do you have fallen earth running with a 100% functional mouselook now ? if you do, please help me figure out how to fix it.
must reinstall wine . but im gonna continue later. @ work on weeks
I posted a bug about the fallen earth mouse problem with logs from my execution of the game. The bug was merged into http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20395 It appears that Fallen Earth relies on the RegisterRawInputDevices function that is only a stub in Wine right now.
