I DLed DirectX 9.0C redistributable and ran it with Wine. I didn't know it would want to know the directory to install to. Its obviously going to be in Wine's drive_c folder, but beyond that I have no idea. I was having some trouble with Winetricks installer so i thought manually would be easier. Anyone know where to install these files?

Wine has it's own DX implementation, and with exception of few filed Wine can't use native DX.
The install location it asked for is actually just the temporary location to extract the files to. After that the real installation is automatic. Not sure if you have to navigate to the filesor if it will prompt you to run setup.
