I have a couple of questions about Wine, just in an attempt to enhance my understanding of it: Is Wine writing its own implementation of DirectX, which sort of 'forwards' instructions to an equivilant in OpenGL? I used wine to install 3DSMax 7 in ubuntu. Unlike other versions, this one is known (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=2588&iTestingId=45222) to run with wine.
