wine users - Sep 2006 - Wine 0.9.20 on FC 3 - No text

I installed wine 0.9.20 on Fedora Core 3, following the yum install wine 
procedure.

Installation seems to be right, but when I run winecfg the gui opens but 
there is no text...
Does anybody knows how to solve this problem out?

I had the same problem in my Gentoo. I've installed
fontforge and it helped.
