Well we're testing scheduled Ogg streaming, but it would be nice to test with an audience bigger then me and a few irc users, so I thought I'd drop a note to the list. http://support.bbc.co.uk/oggstreams.shtml This will contain any scheduled tests to come and anything currently being streamed. For scheduled stuff, only things we're given permission to do by producers can go on there, so don't get too excited just yet. I'll make sure to update the page tho if/when there are any more. ..ciaran -- Ciaran Anscomb, BBC Internet Services "Pokey these are plums! I wanted oranges!" Hi: got BBC radio 1 coming in solid over here in Brisbane Australia. I'm guessing this is 32khz at the lowest possible bitrate, yeah? It's a shame that it's coming from an FM receiver rather than a direct studio feed. The dynamic compressor is hitting the announcer's voice pretty hard. Otherwise it's sounding good. I'll certainly be checking that page regularly. BBC.co.uk was, up until now, behind.. technologically speaking. BBC.co.uk offers only RealPlayer G2 (!) streams, but now something a little more up to date is offered. BTW, will RC3 have more support for sample rates lower than 44.1kHz? 22.1kHz is eminently more useful than 44.1kHz for streaming to use low-end 56K users.. -- noodlez: Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 0x3A1446A0 --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Hot damn the Internet is cool. They accused us of suppressing freedom of expression. How do I get WinAmp to open when I click the Stream URL?? Explorer wants me to save it to the hard drive and if I choose "open" it still "saves" it to my temp folder.
