The unfortunate part of switching from mirror-mode is that the current would have to be renamed (if that's even possible) or deleted. -- -Gene

For Peter Anvin, founder of Syslinux, is that fine. He is also a kernel hacker. So for Syslinux needs a new "home" be found.> >> As it stands, repo.or.cz has a repo that's a mirror-mode (not > >> pushable) created by Sebastian Herbszt, a past contributor. I take a shot: * Sebastian: convert repo.or.cz Syslinux repo from "mirror" to "push-able" A "please" is implied and an expliciet "please" is now included :-) The effort is important because it avoids giving github to much power. The repo.or.cz page [1] says "if you want to switch from mirroring to push mode or vice versa just delete and recreate the project." [1] http://repo.or.cz/regproj.cgi Sebastian

I just tested forking the syslinux.git repo then forking from the child and found that all dependent forks must be deleted before a parent repo can be deleted. -- -Gene

There is simply no way to keep it up to date at this point, and it's not really worth the effort. -hpa
