Passing parameter to Queue-called macro
Hi Marie
Thanks!
I was just worried about thread safety if I had to use a global variable, e.
g. it might be set to a value by one call (since I'm using the same global
for every incoming call to transfer the accountcode gotten from my HTTP
endpoint to the same macro, and there can be several calls simultaneously
all inserting HTTP-sourced values at more or less the same instant) and then

debug strategy for one-way audio calls
Hello everybody,
from time to time, we get so-called simplex / one-way audio calls, where one party cannot hear the other. The only thing in common is that is does happen with calls via SIP trunk, not ISDN and not internal calls. Nothing strange in verbose and SIP logs. Could even be some weird intermittent firewall issue I guess.
Apart from logging all traffic 24/7 via tcpdump (not really

"sip set debug on" output to file only (not to console)
Hello everybody,
I am trying to find an intermittent SIP error with one provider and thought the best first step would be to have "sip set debug on" for some days and check the logs.
Everything gets logged nicely, but the SIP log clutters up the console quite badly. Is it possible to have SIP debug log go only to the log file and not to the console?
My logger.conf:
console =>

Passing parameter to Queue-called macro
Hi all
I need to pass a parameter in a thread-safe manner to the Queue pickup
macro. This is to know when (and who) picked up an incoming call to a queue
and log that to my back-office system with a CURL to a HTTP endpoint.
However, the Queue application does not appear to allow passing of
parameters to the called queue pickup macro.
E. g. non-working code is:
[queuetest]
timeout = 60
retry =

How to implement "priority queuing" within a single queue ?
Hi,
Let say that in a call center, callers are recognized and categorized in 4
priority levels (priority 1 for Very Very Important Personalities, 2 for
VIP, and so on) before entering a Queue.
How can you make sure a priority 2 caller is answered before priority 3
callers, for instance ?
I can think of several solutions but none really pleases me :
1. Have 4 different queues, set penalty value

App queue and all Agent busy
I have a queue defined as
[blabla]
member = SIP/101
member = SIP/102
and in extensions.conf
this:
exten => 101,1,Queue(blabla,t)
exten => 101,102,Congestion
but when both Agents are busy then still the called party does not get a
busy signal.
What I`d want is when both Agents are busy that the caller gets a busy,
not the long tones, like the phone is ringing, but nobody answers it (

Is there a way to # of agents logged into a queue ?
Hi,
Looking around I can't seem to find a way to show the number of agents currently
logged into a queue and if possible who they are. Is there a way to do this ?
Thanks

Queue and Agents in CVS
Every time I have upgraded via CVS in last few weeks, the
queue and agent program doesn't appear to function together.
The calls are not getting passed: Agent 308 is logged in and idle.
Yet I have a customer that has been on hold for over 8 minutes.
Any Ideas?

Send QueueMemberAdded Event via AMI
Hello everybody,
we are using asterisk 16 with a realtime config and have a problem with
FOP2. We have developed a webinterface for managing the queues. If we
add a member to a queue, everything works fine but the user is not shown
in the queue in FOP2 Panel. The problem is that the FOP2 Panel does not
receive the QueueMemberAdded Event. This will only be sent if the
QueueAdd Function is

Asterisk Queue ACD when the queues and agents has the same priority/weight
Hello,
I have three queues (F1,F2,F3) with default queue weight and three
agents (A1,A2,A2) with default agent penalty. If the three agents are
busy and tt same time a caller (C1) enter in the queue F1, and after
20 seconds a second caller (C2) enter in the queue F2. So, few seconds
later, the agent (A1) state comes to availabe. In this case the
asterisk deliveries the caller (C2) to agent (A1),

Realtime Queue Status for Agents
Hello,
I am having a problem which stems from the fact that the Agents that
handle my call queues are unaware if there are are people waiting in the
queue. I have found the following configuration options but they are
not very helpful.
in queues.conf:
announce=xxx
The "announce = XXX" option in queues.conf makes Asterisk play the XXX
announcement to the member of the queue who

Limit // incoming calls to Queue Agents
Hello,
Since outgoinglimit is EOL'd, I've implemented SetGroup/GetGroupCount to
ensure that SIP clients will only have a single call at any time. Works
perfectly for simple calls using Dial().
I'm now struggling to find a way to similarily limit 2nd calls to SIP clients
that are Agents, who receive their calls from a Queue(). Is there any way to
accomplish this (without writing

Queue/Agents problem with 1 agent
Hello. I've got 1 queue setup with 2 possible agents. Agent 1 is logged in
and awaiting a call via AgentCallback. Agent 2 has not logged in. An
outsider (caller A) calls in and is placed in the queue, cytelcs. Agent 1's
phone rings and Agent1 and A talk.
While they are talking, caller B calls in. Caller B is correctly placed in
the queue and hears music, however this shows up in asterisk

Queue agents w/ DUNDi
All,
I'm trying to configure queue agents w/ a DUNDi setup so that an agent
can login to whatever server they please w/o any custom setup. In
general this seems to work, agents login w/ AgentCallbackLogin into the
incoming context (not a special queue context) and can receive queue
calls.
The problem is that since the incoming context is the same context as
the normal incoming call context,

callers in queue passed to agents who accept only one call at a time
I have a queue I configured as "strict" and a cron
script I use to QueueAdd and QueueRemove agents
according to my company's requirements. Usually I have
2 or 3 agents at a time and the ring strategy is
ringall.
These agents use non-open-source Windows softphones
that do not let you configure it so that if they're on
the phone, a second call will be rejected (agent
busy).
