Re: Call for translators
Looking at the page I see someone allready doing the Dutch translations, however there are a lot of errors in the translation when it comes to using past, future and present in the 8 string tables i looked at so far.
Unfortunatly theres no information on how to contact the person in question to notify him about the mistakes.
How would you advise to get this improved?

Call for translators
Hi,
(This was also posted on the wine-devel mailing list last week).
The code freeze for Wine-1.2 has started and we are now in a weekly
release candidate cycle. This is an ideal moment for translation work.
The current translations status page http://source.winehq.org/transl/index.php shows four (4) languages at a 100%. Please help us have more fully translated languages for Wine-1.2. Also

Re: Call for translators
I can help with spanish or specifically with spanish-argentina, but I don't know how to handle those files. If someone explains to me I will have no trouble.
Please see also this:

It is a proposal to add multilanguage support to the Wine AppDB.

Translators wanted!
Wine 1.4 is making good progress. Unfortunately we still have a lot of
translations that are quite incomplete and have no active translators,
thus making Wine unusable in many countries. You can track progress on
this page:
http://fgouget.free.fr/wine-po/
As you can see we currently have 12 pretty complete translations and 5
others that are relatively advanced. But that still leaves 25

James, the files in question I believe were installed as part of the visual C runtime packages that can be installed as part of winetricks

Re: Call for volunteers
Austin - another quick question:
I've tested a few bugs using the latest compiled fresh from git (wine-1.1.23-273-gc293285) but then began wondering if I should be using the latest beta instead - 1.1.23?
I'm also confused if I'm doing something wrong because I tried to install directx 9.0c to test dxdiag and after extracting I ran wine dxsetup.exe. That failed with these errors and

Do you have to use command to use win
Hello
I am very new to Wine and Linux. My question, is there tutorial for using wine in the gui. I don't know how to use the command and all the tutorials seem to be for command line users. Not to complain but I think the command line is for people with more experience and that is great. But when I read the ho-two's on installing a program it doesn't make scene, it all seems

That was very honest of you!
I understand that you were not convinced by the ideas proposed, but I believe in them and I felt the changes needed were within my time limitations and my little PHP knowledge (I use zope/python

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
Off the top of my head, the graphics cards are 7600 GS graphics cards.
On the Kubuntu forum, some people who didn't have my problems getting OpenGL to work say they used some X Updates PPA to get their nVidia drivers packages, and they have version 280 of the drivers.
I also found a website that talked about building the kernel with some special CONFIG options such as AGPGART and stuff. I

page for translators
hi guys,
is there a page I could point potential translators at ? There have been
a few people who have shown interest in helping with some languages that
we do not have translations for at the moment, including russian,
gujrati, greek and turkish.
Is there a page on the wiki that we could point these people at ? maybe
a 'getting started with translations', something that might

Re : noob question :)
Wine changes dozens of files to run properly.
Last week a user couldnt login anymore his Windows XP after doing that.
Btw, as you say world of warcraft doesnt use registry and is well known to work on wine too
by copying the whole directory.
I suggest you to do that.
Its just a few megabytes of disk space versus a possibly unusable windows xp.
Kind regards,

German translation
Hey community,
I think that the english Wine User Guides aren't realy easy to read for much german users.
So I thought maybe I should translate them but I don't want to do that befor I now if anyone alse is translating them so I want to know IF anyone is translating the Wine User Guides.
If not I want to ask if I should do that or if there is no sense in doing that.
