Hello, I am looking at the Polycom phones. The ip600 has a very nice screen, is that the only real advantage over the ip500 and ip300.. Is it worth the extra dollars? List, I am having trouble with one of our IP600. Every five days or so, the phone locks up. This is the third 600 I have put in place. I am running asterisk 1.0.9. Hi, I'm testing a Polycom IP600. With firmware version 1.1 the phone reboots at any time. With firmware version 1.2, the first reboot was an endless reboot. Then I moved the phone to another lan port, then it worked fine. Then I installed again in the initial lan port and the phone works well. However after some time of inactivity (1 hour?), the IP600 stops to send and receive calls.

Hello list: I have a very odd problem. Seemingly randomly, my Polycom IP600 phones will ring without a call being placed to it. That is to say, a random phone will ring. Nothing shows up under Caller ID. Even the buttons that light up to show an incoming call do not light up. If you pick up the handset, you can hear the phone ring through the speaker. I am using Polycom IP600 phone. If I call a phone which has DND (do not disturb) enabled, the message to the caller will be "The person on extension ... is on the phone, please leave a message ...". Is there a way to pick the "person ... not available" message instead?

When I downloaded the sip and bootrom from Polycom website, I noticed a file called SoundPointIPWelcome.wav. However, I have no idea where and when it was used. I played the wav file but I have never heard the phone using this wav file before. Does anyone know what it is used for?

Hello, Does anybody have the latest Boot ROMs for the IP500 and IP 600 Polycom phones. I have one of each and can't find the Boot ROM v 3 anywhere to download. I would also love a good sample phone.cfg and sip.cfg files from an Aussie asterisk user to look at. Also the ip500 is having problems trying to load the bootrom 2.6.2 ? Any ideas?
