Need T1 crossover cable?
I'm connecting a T1 PCI card to a Nortel Option 61 switch T1 card. My Sangoma A102D shipped with 2 T1 cables - which I assume are straight through. Do I need to make crossover cables for this scenario? Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Can't get sangoma A102D setup on asterisk
I have a new Sangoma A102 and I'm trying to get it running in asterisk. A look through the dmesg log shows the card is detected and the various channels created. However, when I start asterisk I get the error below. Any ideas? My zapata.conf is below. When are /proc/dahdi files created
Can someone tell me when the /proc/dahdi files are created for spans? Are they created when asterisk starts (or the asterisk init script) - if not what script creates them? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... X100P how do i recieve incomming calls?
I have just purchased a 2nd hand X100P, if I do a ztcfg -vv I get: "Zaptel Version: 1.4.0 Echo Canceller: MG2 Configuration ====================== Channel map: Channel 01: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01) 1 channels configured." My understanding of the above is that the zaptel driver has detected the card. What do I now need to do, in order to get an incoming call to work with

no lights on TE405P, but shows up in lspci, modules loaded
I pulled a working TE405P from one box and put it in another box. I compiled the zaptel modules, modprobe zaptel, modprobe wct4xxp, but no lights on the card come on. I do an lspci and the card shows up there. I ran ztcfg -vv and got the error message Unable to open master device '/dev/zap/ctl' so I followed the instructions in README.udev the error message went away, but now when I

[Zaptel] Checking that TDM card works?
Hello Since TDM cards are known for being particular when it comes to motherboards (PCI 2.2, etc.), I was wondering if there is a utility that can check that the Zaptel driver works OK and can tell if the TDM card is compatible? That way, if an FXO module is not reporting an incoming call, we'd know it's because of the Zaptel driver, and not something elsewhere. Are "dmesg",

chan_zap not compiling.
Hi all. chan_zap not compiling, yes yes I know this sounds trivial but here me out... This morning I decided to upgrade to Asterisk 1.4.2 and Zaptel 1.4.1. I successfully installed zaptel 1.4.1 and the card is picked up and correctly configured. ztcfg shows the following: [root@zion root]# ztcfg -vv Zaptel Version: 1.4.1 Echo Canceller: MG2 Configuration ====================== Channel

Zaptel problem after upgrading to 1.2.16
Hi guys, I'm hoping I've made a silly mistake here, but I've been staring at the screen for the past few hours and I can't work it out. I upgraded to 1.2.16 recently, and am having problems with zaptel. The card is detected, I get a reasonable output from ztcfg -vv, and zttool shows the installed module (TDM400) with one FXS module. But when I start asterisk, I get

How to elegantly set DEVSTATE values after restarting
Hi, Whenever Asterisk restarts, some values such as DEVSTATE ones, should be reset. How would you proceed to have those settings done anytime Asterisk restarts ? I was thinking of using #exec statement in appropriate .conf file. Ant better idea ? Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

AsteriskNOW Migration
I currently have a customer that a previous employee setup with Gentoo\Asterisk. I'm looking to migrate to AsteriskNOW. They have a custom menu, which I would assume is easily replicable in AsteriskNOW. The only other thing I can think of is the sound bites for the menus. Does anyone have any advise or migration recommendations for this move? -------------- next part

Unable to load module chan_zap.so
I am having trouble with chan_zap.so not loading. When I load it from modules.conf, Asterisk bails out without any error message. When I load it from the console, it just says "Unable to load module chan_zap.so" no matter what verbose level I am using. dmesg says: Zaptel Version: 1.4.4 Zaptel Echo Canceller: MG2 Freshmaker version: 73 Freshmaker passed register test Module 0:
