CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
The method we use for web popups on incoming calls in the astGUIclient client app that we are working on for release next week is to use AJAX(Javascript + XMLHTTPRequest) It works in Firefox and IE5+ and doesn't require any META refreshes. We've been using this internally for the last month and it works great. MATT--- -----Original Message----- From: Anton Krall

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
Hello, We use astGUIclient, it does have server side apps that have to be installed on your Asterisk server, but it does have callerID popups that allow you to search a customizable web page when a call comes in. We are also releasing a new version of the astGUIclient app next week that is entirely web-based and easier to configure the client side. http://astguiclient.sf.net/ MATT---

Can anyone recommend CRM software with a link into Asterisk? I would like a pop up on caller ID if possible. I've played with the FOP and SugarCRM but can't get them working together. CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
hello everyone, I just had a thought on this subject why not create a daemon process on the Client PC That registers its self and What phone the user is connected. An AGI script could monitor the progress and when answered could send a push to the registered daemon which would push a link to the registered daemon on the telephone operators on the desk top. this would not waist resource as much as

Asterisk@Home 1.1b1 has been released
We have replaced the simple contact management system in Asterisk@Home with SugarCRM a full CRM system. This might seem like over kill for a home PBX but Sugar has the best contact management we have seen. With click to dial functionality and the ability to import data from other contact managers it’s a great fit for Asterisk@Home. We have also added new version of the usual Asterisk software AMP

SugarCRM, NO!, Foxpro, SI?
I have dual posted this to the user and biz lists. Has anyone ever heard of someone running an Asterisk based system, yet abandoning SugarCRM, and opting to develop their own Visual FoxPro database/CRM? Please don't dump on me now, this is not my idea, I am just asking for comments, to see if my own initial thoughts are reasonably accurate. joe a.

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
FYI - We have a solution here provided by Lucent that allows us to play / review voicemails left on the Octel attached to the 5ESS switch... While this is a simple webpage - doing a refresh every 3 to 4 seconds, it does actually work. The only loss of course would be if someone hung up on first ring - the browser might not catch it in time. -----Original Message----- From:

Features you'd like to see in a GUI?
Sherwood, Your intentions are noble and your desire to build this, fullfills an immediate need for business. If your intention is just to build a GUI for Asterisk, read no further. If your desire is to build something more purposeful, your best bet would be to see the existing commercial GUI/HostedPBX offerings like Pbxware and Switchware from bicomsystems.com ( http://www.bicomsystems.com)

VoiceOne 0.4.0 released: a new web-based and open source GUI
Hi all! We've released VoiceOne 0.4.0, a web-based and open source solution which allows to fully manage an Asterisk service hosted on a LAMP server. We focused on an charming and overall user-friendly interface.
