similar to: SIP phones cutting out with Asterisk??

Hello all, Has anyone used the SIP version of this phone with Asterisk? I see Polycom has a H.323 and MGCP version also, does anyone know if you flash the phone to swith protocols? Hi, What is out there in terms of SIP enabled handsfree speakerphones? Looking for something that works well and also fits a low budget. I am used to using a Cisco 7940. It is a great phone but a bit expensive. Thought about the Polycom SoundPoint 300 until I realized that it does not include speakerphone functionality. Thanks, Adi

The phone can access the FTP server, and downloads the IP500/600 configuration files, but claims that the sip.ld file is larger than its file system. Hi, everyone, We've been reasonably happy with Polycom SoundPoint phones, but we only have them installed on the LAN. I've read that they have problems working across NAT. So ... I guess I have a few questions. First, is there a way to get Polycoms to work well over NAT? If not, then are there phones of comparable voice quality that do work well over NAT? Without costing a lot more?

This Polycom phone seems to be one of the best on the market for sound quality and features. I have seen on the list that some people have gotten the IP 600 to work with Asterisk. Does anyone have the details of how to get this working i.e. XML phone config files, and any thing else I might need to know. Is there any way to find-out the peak number of calls that an asterisk system has had? Not the total number of calls, but the maximum number of simultaneous calls. We've just setup our A@H server, with our quad port card. Everything works well so far. One thing I notice is that when I leave the handset on the hook and dial a #, all is well.
