MWI indicator on SNOM200 doesn't disappear
On recent releases of the snom200 firmware, the MWI indicator will turn on, but won't turn off when the message has been checked. It works on firmware 2.03o, but not in 2.04g or newer. I filed a bug report with snom, but they're claiming it is an asterisk issue and that it should have been resolved. They suggested that I ask on the list. "Anyway, Asterisk had a bug where it

Status Lights on Snom200 Phone Displaying the Status of PSTN Lines
Alright, this may seem like something relatively easy to do but I must be missing something or had a neuron misfire. I am trying to get The Status lights on my Snom200 hardphones to display the status of each one of my PSTN lines in my Asterisk server. Current Config: 3 X100P cards Asterisk CVS-02/25/04-18:06:52 5 Snom200 phones I am currently using the following macro to dial out

Exception flag set - snom200
Sorry I forgot the subject in the last post. When my snom200 receives an inbound SIP external sip call, it somehow rejects the call and with a busy tone. The debug shows the following error: channel.c:1142 ast_read: Exception flag set on 'SIP/sipphone-7796', but no exception handler what does this mean and how can I debug it further?? The users retrieve their email by dialing an extension which calls VoiceMailMail(XXX at VMContext) so how

Uniden UIP-200 Multiple line appearances
Hi - I'm wondering if any has experience with the Uniden UIP-200 phones. The product info says that the 8 led buttons at the top are all programmable. Can they be programmed as separate line appearances (ala Snom 200, Cisco 7960, Zultys Zip4x4, etc)? In other words - is the phone capable of multiple SIP registrations? Also, the post about these phones at voip-info.org mentions some

X-Lite <-> Snom200
Hi, I have just been playing with the latest X-Lite.. It works fine with Asterisk.. As for codecs I tested G.711a/u, GSM and iLBC... iLBC is the only one that didn't work.. not sure why.. But the bigger problem is that when I call another extension that is using a Snom200 the call connects but there is no audio in either direction.. I have tried G.711a/u and GSM and while X-Lite shows that

Snom200 Firmware: I only see 2.04g
Hello all, I've noticed several messages about the latest firmware on Snom's site, 2.05b, and today I see that another update is listed, 2.05c. However, when I go to the download page (http://www.snom.com/support_dl_en.php), the latest firmware version available for the Snom200 is 2.04g. Are the newest firmware releases not yet available, or am I doing something stupid? Thanks, Kanwar

Snom200 -> C7960 noisy?
When a Snom 200 (v2.1l) calls a C7960 (v4.4), both using g711u as default, the conversation is extremely noisy from the Snom to the Cisco, but clear in the reverse direction. Using a sniffer, I see packets from the Snom to the Cisco of 87 bytes and Cisco to Snom of 214 bytes. Asterisk is CVS from Saturday. The communications between the two was working fine on Saturday, however something has

SNOM 100 vs SNOM 200??
Hi, I have more or less decided to do with the SNOM phones for the next stage of testing with Asterisk becasue they seem to be the best value for money and have support for the GSM codec and easy upgrades.. But now I have to decied wheather to get the 100 or 200 and if its the 200 then I need to have some justification for the extra cost.. Can someone who knows these 2 phones tell me what the

snom reporting busy when it shouldn't - Email found in subject
Check the Redirection on the web interface of your Snom 200. If it says "When Busy" that's your problem. It should say "Never". Also make sure on Sip->Lines your line appearance says "All" or else you will have the same problem. Hope this helps :) Greg Gregory P. Server v. Workstation installation
Hopefully someone can help me. I've been running a windows 2000 Workstation and Server. This spring I added a Linux workstation (Red Hat 7.2 - Samba 2.2.3a) to the network. Took some work but that is running fine. smb.conf seems to be giving me what I want. LAN addresses are assigned with DHCP. I have had several people tell me that they have a network running with static addresses. I
