Hardware IAX phone (please read and reply!)
Hello all!
I've talked recently to the head of R&D dept. of Telkom Telos
(www.telos.com.pl) - a big Polish company specialised in making
phones. I gave them the idea of creating a cheap (cost-effective)
hardware IP phone. The phone we discussed would include hardware
support for IAX (though probably SIP/sth. else would be required too
if it were to hit the market.. what do you

regarding the new tdm?0b cards (another newbie question)
hi everybody and thanks for replying to my previous posts!
i have some questions about the new cards announced on digium's website:
these cards are 1-4 fxs interfaces, meaning i can take 4 analog phone handsets
w/standard rj11's and plug them in to dial via *, right? not until fxo is
implemented (is it going to be? when?) can i plug analog phone lines in? if
the ports are made fxo/fxs

low-cost * (newbie question)
hello all
i'm interested in setting up a small pbx using asterisk and the primary goal
is keeping the cost down. the general layout of the net is as folows:
* 4 phone lines (2x isdn+ 2x analog) [or 2x isdn + 1x analog, as one might be
put aside for a traditional phone/fax with no fancy stuff]
* a server box
* several client hosts (all linux with x)
currently, the isdn lines are unused (to

[PATCH] [dovecot 2.2.9] Quota warnings ignored with FS quotas
Hi all,
I noticed that in some circumstances quota warnings are ignored. The bug
arises when both of the following are used:
1. percentage-based quota warnings, i.e.:
quota_warning = storage=1%% quota-warning 1 %u
2. filesystem quota backend (and probably others, except for quotas
configured directly in dovecot config)
Percentage-based quota warnings have rule.bytes_limit recalculated

ETSI PRI ISDN Signalling
Hi All,
I've bought a R2Adapter to convert R2Digital to ISDN. I am trying to
config E100P card but D-Channel is down. I know R2Adapter uses ETSI ISDN
Protocol so I tried unsucessfully setup switchtype to EuroISDN. Any clue?

Hwo to get CallerID: SIP -> ISDN
Hi!
I trying to configure * in a way, that it uses a different CLIP (Caller-Id
in ISDN) per SIP user, when relaying the call from SIP to the ISDN. So far
always the main (1st) number of the number-block is sent to the ISDN.
I have a E100P from Digium and use the zapata stuff (chan_zap).
All SIP calls are coming through an SER.
One idea I had in mind is to assign userid's in SIP, that match

Which Hardware to buy for a simple * box
I've to project and build a fresh new box with * on.
Basically, i'll have this situation:
The office is connected to the phone carrier with a PRI.
I need to let users continue to use their analog phones in a office, and an
IP-phone based solution on the remote office, that will call using outside

UK ISDN PRI Problems
Advance apologies for the length of this mail;
I have an ISDN PRI supplied by NTL (ex Diamond Cable, Nottingham) which
is currently working happily with an SDX Index phone system. I have to
replace this phone system shortly and I've been trying to get a * system
working for some weeks now. I have configured the dial plan (which
works) and all my SIP extensions (which all work) along with

Partial function application in R
Hello,
in a desperate desire of using partial function application in R I fried out
the following piece of code:
bind <- function( f, ... ) {
args <- list(...)
function(...) f( ..., unlist(args) )
}
Its purpose, if not clear, is to return a function with part of its
arguments bound to specific values, so that I can for example create and use
functions like this:
q1 <- bind(

Universal server hardware platform - which to choose?
Hi all.
I am working for a hosting provider in Poland. We are currently
searching for an universal, extensible hardware platform which we
would like to use in our server infrastructure.
The platform should have:
- possibility to install up to 32GB of RAM and at least 4 slots for it;
- at least 6 SATA ports;
- the possibility to use SAS disks;
- at least one 1Gb/s network interface and the
