Hi Shorewall Users :) I have found shorewall firewall and seems to be interesting. I need to setup a configuration my my network users because i only have 50gb of traffic per month. I want to know if the shorewall can make a 48gb per month limit, but everyday from 1:30 PM do 8:30 AM (happy hour ) the traffic doesnt count. Can shorewall do that ? -- Sem Mais Rui Oliveira 351 - Portugal ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. I am not aware of any package to do this. What you could do is use the accounting functions in Shorewall (or more technically in iptables) to count your traffic, and knock up a script that will keep track of your usage and do <something> as you approach your limits. That <something> might be to alter the traffic shaping rules to reduce bandwidth usage - for example cut hard back on p2p traffic if you exceed 75% of your allowance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
