Hi. What system or software are you using to show the iptables log files (for example the dropped packages tagged as LOG in the Shorewall rules)? Thank you very much! Hmmm... I don''t think it''s a good idea to post it here ... but ;) However, using the ulog extension to write the logs into a Mysql DB - you can write a Web-Based Interface. I did so using the phpWebsite 0.8x as Backend - but have to port it to my new, self written backend (phpPhobos). Check some screenshots on the Firewall Interface (Hidden for normal users) here: https://firebird.solsys.org/mod.php?mod=faq&op=extlist&topicid=14&expand=yes Eventually, if someone helps me - I might release a similar interface for phpPhobos in the next couple of months ;) Some other modules have higher priority though ... Ehhh .... Sorry - the Link is Stargatte, e.g.: https://stargate.solsys.org/mod.php?mod=faq&op=extlist&topicid=14&expand=yes I tend to do all devel stuff on my Devel Machine - and copy&Paste links from that machine, not reachable from the outside... :D Joerg Mertin wrote:> Hmmm... > > I don''t think it''s a good idea to post it here ... but ;) > However, using the ulog extension to write the logs into a Mysql DB - > you can write a Web-Based Interface. > I did so using the phpWebsite 0.8x as Backend - but have to port it to > my new, self written backend (phpPhobos). > Check some screenshots on the Firewall Interface (Hidden for normal > users) here: > https://firebird.solsys.org/mod.php?mod=faq&op=extlist&topicid=14&expand=yes > > Eventually, if someone helps me - I might release a similar interface > for phpPhobos in the next couple of months ;) Some other modules have > higher priority though ... > > Cheers > Joerg > > Tom Eastep wrote: >> shacky wrote: >>> Hi. >>> What system or software are you using to show the iptables log files >>> (for example the dropped packages tagged as LOG in the Shorewall >>> rules)? >> Have you looked at the ones listed in Shorewall FAQ 6a? >> >> -Tom >-- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Joerg Mertin : smurphy@solsys.org (Home)| | in Forchheim/Germany : smurphy@linux.de (Alt1)| | Stardust''s LiNUX System : | | Web: http://www.solsys.org | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PGP Fingerprint: AF0F FB75 997B 025F 4538 5AD6 9888 5D97 170B 8B7A ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Here is one that is already written: http://software.inl.fr/trac/trac.cgi/wiki/EdenWall/NuLog I use ULOG writing to MySQL database, and NuLog for the front-end database. The other front-end I have used is: http://webfwlog.sourceforge.net/ Possibly one of these will work for you? ----- Original Message ----- From: "shacky" <shacky83@gmail.com> To: "Shorewall Users" <shorewall-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Friday, October 12, 2007 5:57 AM Subject: Re: [Shorewall-users] Web log viewer> Ok, I decided to start to write my own Ulogd-php version... :-) > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. > Still grepping through log files to find problems?
