Shorewall users - May 2005 - webmin page

Hello, 
         I am not able to open the webmin web 
interface on my server. 
 
Shorewall is blocking it. 
 
How to allow it on the server.

you are giving too less information for an "full-qualified answer"
(TM).

Webmin is using port 10000/tcp as standard port.

I *GUESS* you are talking about a webmin server on the firewall box itself. In 
this case add a line this to your /etc/shorewall/rules:

ACCEPT <source-zone> $FW tcp 10000

Don''t forget about UDP as well...

ACCEPT <source-zone> $FW udp 10000

to clear up this issue a bit:
To open this UDP port is ONLY needed, if you want to use the
"auto-discovery"
feature of other webmin servers to find the firewall''s webmin
installation
remotely.
For accessing the webserver tcp/10000 is sufficient.

vi /etc/shorewall/rules

Add:
#       Allow Access for Webmin
#
ACCEPT  net     $FW     tcp     10000   -       -       -       -
