Shorewall users - Mar 2005 - List Closed to Non-member Posts

For several years, this list has been moderated for non-member posts.
I''ve found that this is a pain for me (I have to wade through the spam
to find and approve legitimate posts).  Additionally, non-members seem
to almost universally ignore instructions to mention that they are
non-members in their post. Since the mailing list is set up so that
replies go to the list rather than to the poster, this means that most
non-members who post are not receiving their replies. And for those who
do mention that they are non-members, it is a pain for the rest of us to
include them in our replies.

So effective today, this list is closed to non-member posts.

I almost hate to say this, but I''m glad you did this.  It seems as
though, people who can''t be bothered to take 5 minutes and sign up for
the list, also can be bothered to search for their problems on the
FAQ, the Documentation, or on the discussion list archives.
