How does the speed of SQL compare to the speed of LDAP? If the speeds are comparable, why bother with LDAP, which doesn't handle writes very well? Problems with NIS Server on Samba 4
Hi, I am having problems for users to authenticate to the Windows Server 2008 file server, so I checked that the Samba 4 DC Unix attributes are not enabled. I am trying to create Unix attributes on Samba 4, but it doesn't bother any NIS server to select. How can I solve this problem? Regards, M?rcio Bacci

Reading floating points into a field stored as Integers
Hi, I''m trying to follow the "AWDR" example of storing certain types of numbers (in my case, percentages not money) as integers in the database. I understand from the Depot application how to format the output to have 2 places (or n places for that matter) decimal. Now, I"m wondering about the input. It''s more natural for people to enter numbers as

[LLVMdev] Announcement: Phabricator for code reviews
...nges. I'm not deeply familiar with authentication schemes. I know you've already resolved the issue for me with a manually created account, but to reiterate my reasons from that earlier conversation: For me, the concerns are much more about privacy than about security. I'm not really bothered by the idea of my Phabricator account being compromised, and I will use one-off credentials to ensure that a compromise of it will not impact other accounts that I care about more. What does bother me is the loss of privacy implied by sharing a login system between Phabricator and any of the vario...

...zzare to me, which is why probably i cant get my game to work. and i thought the people in here were cool and helpful, and all i have seen is emptiness, is that because people dont want to bother helping the less knowledgeable or perhaps they dont know them selves or is it simply that no one can be bothered lately? i have unstalled wine but it is still there, i have tried all sorts of help/tips and still no go... the best i had it was when game was running but the character screen was black, but since then from trying different things, its gone to shit again

Bother
This afternoon, after my fiasco with the other machine, I decided to bring the drive home and install it in the primary machine here, boot from the normal drive, then mount the 4.1 i386 drive so I could make changes and check things. What happened next was totally unexpected. After decompressing the kernel and starting the boot, there were all kinds of error messages scrolling off the

Comments in vorbisfile_example
I have a couple of questions with respect to "vorbisfile_example.c" in the ov sdk. 1) Near the end, there is a comment that says "we don't bother dealing with sample rate changes, etc, but you'll have to." I assume the author is regarding to different sample rates as a whole, not dynamic sample rates. Am I correct in that assumption? 2) That etc

Mail account brute force / harassment
Marc, There is a strategy loosely referred to as "choose your battles well" :-) Let the others bother with their own problems. If you can, hack the server and dump the 500GB - you'll be using resources transferring the 500GB as the other server receives it. Two servers wasting resources because you think you are punishing an offender! On Thu, 11 Apr 2019 at 13:43, Marc Roos
