As I announced earlier, I have installed an early release of SuSE 9.3 on several of my systems here. Included in that release is Docbook XSL 1.68. This version of the XSL "deprecates" use of a feature that I have been using to provide shading of examples and quotes within the documents ("deprecates" is in quotes because that is the word in the warning message produced by xsltproc; the feature is actually deimplemented). So this means that the html documentation that I released with 2.3 does not have any background shading in the examples etc.; the same holds for those web pages that I have published since I installed 9.3. The recommended workaround for the deprecated feature is to use CSS. I''ve hacked the .css file included with Docbook XSL until I think that it looks ok (it''s named ''html.css'' and is included in the documentation tarballs). Be warned though that I am partially color-blind so what looks good to me may make you dizzy. I have re-released the XML and HTML documentation with the .css included. If you find the new colors objectionable, please hack up the .css and send it back to me; if I get multiple submissions, I''ll put them up for a vote. I''ve also re-published all XML-generated pages at http://shorewall.net so you can look at results there. I believe that all of the .css features can be seen at http://shorewall.net/FAQ.htm. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net PGP Public Key \ https://lists.shorewall.net/teastep.pgp.key
