Windows port
Hi! I would like to ask about current state of Windows port. Is it frozen? It will be cool to know the plans :) Where are a lot of Windows-branches at GitHub. What is the most actual one? The Windows builder looks like turned off, am I right that it is not available currently and where were no builds after version 2.6.5-6? I couldn't find any info about proper environment to build Windows

Upgrade Doc to DocBook 5.0?
I'd like to ask what you all would think of me upgrading the libvorbis doc from whatever version of DocBook it presently uses to DocBook 5.0. There are three good reasons: - It supports XML namespaces, so you can embed stuff like Scalable Vector Graphics and MathML right into your DocBook source. - DocBook 5.0 uses Relax NG Schemas. This is a far, far better specification language than either DTD or...

Shorewall Documentation Updates, Request for Input
Hello, I have the go ahead to fix documentation. For starters I will clean all extraneous crap from the markup. Then fix any errors and typos. If anyone sees any gramatical errors or typos or needed clarifications or expansions or whatever, please post them here. Or additional FAQ entries, etc, all will be considered. I hope to keep most of this conversation on the shorewall-devel list. Any

The server internals docs have mostly moved to the xorg-server module. What's left has mostly (but not yet completely) been converted to Docbook XML, from troff, SGML, and other formats. Missing packages in centos8 mirrors or do I miss something?
Hi, I need to port OSCAR Cluster and SystemImager softwares to centos8, but I miss a lot of package that seems to be built for centos-8. For example, I cant find docbook-utils and docbook-utls-pdf while I see them here: https://koji.mbox.centos.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=651 I?ve installed epel-release and elrepo-release and centos-release-stream. Do I miss something or is it a matter of time due to mirro syncs? I misse btrfs packages, perl-Tk packages, docbook...

Docbook equivalent of Sweave
I have been looking a bit at docbook as an alternative to latex. However, Sweave is a very nice way to deal with documents mixing R code, figures, and text as well as markup. I saw a couple of references in the email archives that people have been experimenting with combinations of tools (including Sxslt). Is anyone willing to share...

Again: Next libvorbis release?
...take vary long. So, how about finding a temporary workaround for the doc issue, making a release, then finding a long-term solution. (Oh, and maybe some of the nice bug fixes in the track queue could be applied for the release after that then ;-). Here is how I was able to build the current docbook docs: I used fop instead of pdfxmltex and had to replace some PNGs (they were causing fop to error out, very weird). It still gives some strange errors about missing SVG support, but the generated PDF seems to be OK. I submitted my patch to Trac <https://trac.xiph.org/ticket/1523>. O...

DocBook and XML
I think I can say I've been officially horrified into a coma. During a routine rebuild after installing DocBook tools, I wandered away.. and then back and after half an hour, the build was still stalled on the same command: xsltproc. Huh? I thought, has it crashed? Strace revealed that it was making a bazillion connections all over the net. Loking at the XML, it's clear why. Because our documentatio...

Updated Shorewall build and publish scripts
Attached please find updated build and publish scripts. They set the ''ulink.target'' parameter appropriately when converting docbook->HTML. I have always hacked my xhtml/params.xsl file to set this parameter; these updated scripts make that abomination unnecessary. Paul/Mike: It might be a good idea to add a CVS project for these scripts. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shorelin...

How To Beat DocBook Into Submission
To better understand how to work with DocBook, I'd like to suggest that you check out ZooLib's DocBook documentation from its SourceForge CVS, and use my work as an example to help you with your work. I just went through the whole painful process of getting it all to work. Please learn from my example! See especially the files:...

Seeking docbook-to-man package
I'm looking for a source RPM for docbook-to-man. I'm trying to build/install pxlib: <http://pxlib.sourceforge.net/installation.php> The tarball is set up to create an RPM, but it fails to convert its SGML documentation to man pages because I'm missing docbook-to-man. I found the latter here: <http://www.oasis-open.o...
