Easy, Robust and Stable GUI???
...ing spss for years and would demand a similarly user friendly GUI based statistical program to replace it. I have looked at a few of the R guis and most of them look like they are just command line interfaces in pretty desktop windows and not really a gui like spss. If anyone knows of any stable, userfriendly and robust guis for R that would be similar to using spss please let me know, as I would love for my school to start embracing open source software. Thanks Pat -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Easy%2C-Robust-and-Stable-GUI--t982193.html#a2543480 Sent from the R help forum at...

Interfacing C++ , MysQL and R
...fter a presentation of some statistical analysis of process datas, (where the few R possibilities I was able to show made quite a big impression), I was asked if it was possible to program a statistical application which could be used directly by the end user. Such an application would include a userfriendly interface (developped in C++), a db , a core statistical program, standard output; the necessary queries and statistical procedures would be interactively generated from the user input by the C++ program. As I do not intend to reprogram the necessary statistical functions if I can help it, I'm...

Date calender instead of selectboxes like in Django
Hi, please have a look at http://www2.jeffcroft.com/2006/may/02/django-non-programmers/ especially the screenshot in the middle with the Calender. Instead of 3 selectfields with day, month, year I find this one much more userfriendly, also having yesterday, today and tomorrow. Are there plugins for this? I know http://www.dynarch.com/projects/calendar/ which I often included in my php-sites, and there is a Rails-pagacke including this one, but it''s not the same nice one included in Django. Design questions on creating digg.com-like URLs (are they considered RESTful?)
Hi everyone, I''m working on creating a site that functions similar to digg.com (please no "no more digg clones" remarks please! :) ). One thing I really like about digg is there URLs are very nice to read and I would like to emulate that without having a lot of actions spread out all over my application. So in my app I have three main resources: Users, Tags, and Items

This is a test of Nixnet blocking
...adrunner... which provided 'Net access and email to about half the City of Chicago, IL, USA, which, Karanbir, is about a quarter the size of the London metro area, so we're talking hundreds of thousands of people. Now, in days after massive consolidation of ISPs (even the Canadian ISP that userfriendly's Columbia Internet has bee bought and closed up), this means that they're blocking telcos and giant hosting providers. I'm really, REALLY tired of being blocked when a couple dozen domains, hiding out in millions of them at one hosting provider, results in a few million people being b...

Software for Epidmiological, Longitudinal Data
...opriate statistical package. Here are some features that the software should have: - strong in the analysis of epidemiological and longitudinal data - platform independent (should run under different operating systems like Windows, Mac OS, Unix) - Ease of use for non-statistic-professionals (i.e. userfriendly GUI) - High acceptance by scientific journals, by the FDA - Importance relative to other packages with respect to the number of users, the number of publications in which the software is used, the market share etc. (including the recent development of these indices!) reassign 588839 to src:xen
...rc:xen 4.0.1~rc3-1 block 588839 759018 thanks I think this request has been largely obsoleted by the Xen support which is available natively in grub2. The binaries are available in Jessie in a slightly do-it-yourself fashion but the version of grub2 in NEW (2.02~beta2-16) makes this all a lot more userfriendly by implementing the upstream pv bootloader chainloading protocol (http://xenbits.xen.org/docs/unstable/misc/x86-xenpv-bootloader.html). I would suggest closing this bug once that version passes out of new. Ian.
