Asterisk Training Needed in SouthEast U.S
I need advanced Asterisk training in the SouthEast area of the U.S; I don't
need to know how to install linux and Asterisk and compile the modules and
load them and such. I don't need to know what extensions.conf does or
sip.conf does;
What I do need is a better understanding of what every single little option
in sip.conf or iax.conf does, and I need to learn a lot more about all the

Release Retrospective
First off, congrats to everyone for getting Rails 2 released. A lot
of work went into the release, and it''s good to see us reach this
milestone. And now that the release dust has settled, I think it
might be useful for us to have a retrospective and evaluate how the
release went.
I think the Ruby on Rails project has improved a lot this year, and
this is another opportunity

text, pos suggestion
suggestion: could the R team please add positions 5 through 8 for the
arg parameter in text(), which would select the diagonals (northeast,
southeast, southwest, northwest)?
sincerely, /ivo welch
PS: thanks for all the earlier circle help. knowing some of the
predispositions of the R developers, I probably should not suggest
adding to the documentation

Command equivalent of rgui "File, Save to File"?
R 2.3.1 on Windows XP Professional.
I am writing some scripts to generate examples. The Rgui menu
item "File, Save to File" is helpful. Is there perhaps an
equivalent R function that can be incorporated into a script?

problem on Matrix package~~
Hi,all!
I encountered a problem "not-yet-implemented method for <list> %*%
<dgCMatrix>" when I tried "diagr %*% design_mat", where
"diagr<-diag(vr,100)", vr is a vector with 100 elements, and design_mat is a
sparse matrix with dimension 100*677000 constructed by calling
sparseMatrix().
I am new to the Matrix package, so I am confused with this, and I

the full dataset has all the states and counties in the southeast United
States). I keep getting this strange error with the lowerize function
(which didn't occur the first few times I use the code below), and oddly

matrix help (first occurrence of variable in column)
Dear R help,
Apologies for the less than informative subject line. I will do my
best to describe my problem.
Consider the following matrix:

dimnames = list(c("T1", "T2"),
c("sp.1", "sp.2", "sp.3")))

[LLVMdev] Compiler name: Nāga
Hi, the idea of a dragon theme reminded me of the dragon-like serpents
called "Nāga" from Cambodian mythology, among other places.
Here's a brief link explaining the specific Cambodian meaning -

I like this as a name, because it's unique short and easy to type and

Kruskal's MDS results
Dear List,
I'm trying to interpret the results of the Kruskal's Non-metric Multidimensional Scaling algorithm (isoMDS, MASS package).
The 'goodness of fit' is reported as "The final stress achieved (in percent)".
What does this mean exactly? I've tried to google for an answer but I've not come up with a definitive answer.

Dieter

Package development on Windows - latest guidance?
I would like to start building R packages under Windows XP. I
have programming experience and a minimal but working knowlege
of many Unix (-like) programming tools. The package functions
(for now) will be from R source, not C or Fortran.
I've installed Rtools, Perl, the MS hhc, and so on. I am
setting up a command shell with the correct PATH for building
packages. (The master Windows PATH
