OT: Disable Polycom 650 Forward Softkey
I've got a problem that keeps popping up with my reception phone.
It is a IP 650 and the receptionist - on three occassions - has accidentally
hit the "Forward" softkey just before she enters the "Page All" keystrokes
and then all future calls get routed as an overhead page.
I will admit, the first time it happened, I was totally stumped. Why the
heck did I have

Softkey config example for Cisco 7941/7961
I found on the web that there is way to customize the softkeys for the
7941/7961 phones. In the SEP<mac>.xml there is a section called
"softKeyFile" where you can specify an xml file for the softkeys. I
couldn't find any examples of this softkey file or the format to this file.

OT - Cisco 7960 functionality
Can anyone point me to info on how to change the functionality of the
SIP (7.4) 7960's. We previously had an SCCP firmware on the phone and
the users want the phone to work like it used too. Here are some examples:
The users do not want to push the new call softkey or the speaker button
in order to dial a call. They want to be able to just begin dialing the
number.

Cisco 7911/7941/7970/7971 Softkey XML Files
Hello List,
Does anyone have access to the soft key configuration files for the
Cisco 7911/7941/7970/7971 phones? Checked up on the Cisco site and
didn't find much up there.
Thanks

changing cisco 7940/7960 standard menus ?
Hi,
We are using Asterisk 1.2.1 with Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones.
Most things are running fine ;-)
But, when you are calling and you want to Transfer, you need
to press first on the 'more' button (4th), then you have the
label 'Trnsfr' to Transfer.
these are the lables on the softkeys when having a phone call:
"Holt / EndCall / Confrn / more"
press more and you get
"Transfer / / BlndXfr / more"
We do more 'Transfers' than 'Confrn', so I which to siwtch the
2 softkeys on the phone.
Can you do that ?
How ?
Thanks

Softkeys wrong with chan_skinny
Hi,
as noone out there seems to be able to maintain chan_sccp, i'm trying to
switch to chan_skinny. With the newest 1.4 svn the Softkeys are mostly
wrong/non functional. I see
Redial NewCall CFwdAll more
(more)
CFwdBu... GPickUp Confrn more
NewCall works, CFwdAll seems to toggle DnD, the rest of the buttons do
notting.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Regards,
Andreas

Polycom softkey transfer issue
We upgraded to Asterisk 1.4.13 earlier this week, and now an odd
problem has cropped up with our Polycom phones. Basically, performing
a transfer via the transfer softkey fails on transfers to extensions
beginning with a *. When you try, you just get a fast-busy, and next
to nothing on the console (usually a message about the peer being
unable to authenticate)
This is only affecting

Aastra phones and park/pickup feature
...e installing Aastra phones (480's and 57i's) into a fairly simple
asterisk setup. Although call park & pickup work fine using xfer to 700 (to
park), dial 701 (to pickup), we are unable to make the park/pickup softkey
feature work on the aastra's.
Although we've programmed the softkeys per the manuals, they seem to have no
effect (just dead). For example, our 57i is setup like this:
softkey4 type: park
softkey4 label: "Park"
softkey4 value: asterisk;70
softkey4 line: 1
softkey4 states: connected
softkey4 type: pickup
softkey4 label: "Pickup"

Gxp 2000 softkey question
I have a function *1 that starts and stops recording in a call. I use a
function so I can use MixMonitor.
It works well, however I would like to make it a little more integrated for
my users. We have GXP 200 hardphones. So far I've been able to configure a
softkey using the speeddial option to dial *1 during a call. I also have
setup another key to monitor the status of recording (on/off)

Polycom Park by EFK
Has anyone gotten one-touch call parking to work on Polycom phones via
the Enhanced Feature Keys feature working? I've looked at various
examples, they appear correct, but the phones (501, 3.1.x firmware)
show the Park button while in a call but this does not actually cause
the call to be parked. Doing a SIP debug, I don't see that anything is
transmitted as a result of pressing the call

Removing Polycom Transfer Softkey
Sorry for the crosspost. This was supposed to be on -users
I know some of you are polycom gurus...
Anyone know how to remove transfer from a polycom 33x phone? We've set
allowtransfer=no, but we would like to remove a polycom soft key as well.

telantek.adsi
I am working with the telantek.adsi file, and I was
wondering how I would create a softkey for Transfer.
I tried making a key definition and using SENDDTMF
"#", but that didn't work. Is there another way I
could do this?
Also, does anybody have any ADSI scripts for use with
Asterisk that they would like to share?
Thank you for your time.

long enough that users complain. The password prompt doesn't display

XML How To for Cisco 7960
Aloha,
Has anyone written an XML application for a Ciso 7960 phone running SIP?
I can't find any examples anywhere!
Anyone know of any resources for this? I have read it can render XML & can
get input from the keypad & softkeys.

Cisco7960/SCCP Transfer Help?
I have a Cisco 7960 running 7.2 of their SCCP image; I am running Asterisk
1.0.5 and using the latest Sourceforge version of SCCP2.
When I make a call (or receive one) the "Transfer" softkey does not show up
- as a matter of fact only 2 softkeys show up (redial & something else), but
those even are not active.
On a 7960 running SIP the Transfer and other buttons do show up and are
active.
What am I missing as far as getting the Transfer button to show up on my
SCCP phone?
Additionally, the "#" does not work when talking on...
