Has anyone used a Dell with a PERC H310?
Hello Sa?o! I found you here: http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zfs-discuss/2012-May/051546.html "How about reflashing LSI firmware to the card? I read on Dell''s spec sheets that the card runs an LSISAS2008 chip, so chances are that standard LSI firmware will work on it. I can send you all the required bits to do the reflash, if you like." I got Dell Perc H310 controller for do-it-yourself experiment...

OT: Reflash Mitel 5220 from MiNet to SIP
Have some 5220's that are MiNet only and I was wondering if anyone has ever reflashed it to MiNet/SIP. Tried to fake out the phone by redirecting it to a TFTP server with the SIP image, it loads it, freaks out, and reboots. tia

PXE Hanging
...flash memory module which is normally used to boot a cut-down version of WinNT. I work in a repair department where we often have to open up these terminals and temporarily install a hard-drive to reflash the disk-on-chip based firmware so I was hoping to make repairs easier by netbooting then reflashing over the network. These terminals have PXE compatible network bios and are based on Pentium technology. They boot linux correctly using PXELINUX if the flash memory is disabled but when enabled PXELINUX gets as far as loading the kernel, displays a 'ready' message then hangs. It does th...

Booting using single image file
Howdy, I know that syslinux doesn't currently support this, but does anyone here know how I might go about getting some sort of boot process together that would have a single firmware image as opposed to seperate files for initrd, kernel, and root fs? Thanks.

Mitel 5010 +5220
I know this is not strictly an asterisk issue but it is related I guess. Just to let you know that after many calls to Mitel the consensus is that they will be releasing a new version of the 5220 that is dual boot (minet and SIP) next week or the week after. This firmware will only appear on NEW phones manufactured after the release date (no one could confirm but the 23rd of sept was

Odd Polycom Reboot Issue
Hello list- I'm having an extremely odd issue with an installation of mine. The system is running * 1.2.12.1 and currently handles around 100 handsets. With the exception of a few Grandstream DTA's, all devices are Polycom 320, 430, or 601's. After a recent power outage, I'm having an extremely odd issue with one of the handsets. One of the Polycom 601 units simply reboots every

Looking for help with a Polycom Soundpoint IP 600
Hi all, I have a Polycom Soundpoint IP 600 that looks like it is fried. It either has a bad or corrupt bootrom (I'm guessing). It never gets to the prompt that asks if I want to enter the setup configuration or continue booting. When plugged into power, it turns on, shows the Polycom logo for 3 seconds and then pretty much goes dead with two red lights on. The one in the top right corner

pxelinux.0 bug
Hi: I use this driver to set up my Fedora Core 1 as a PXE server. After I successfully boot up from network in my laptop, it erases my Intel PXE boot manager from my laptop's BIOS. The BIOS of my laptop has an option to choose form "boot from ethernet", but it is gone after I use this driver. Now I have to reflash my laptop's BIOS and Intel PXE boot manager ROM to make it come

Flashing DVG-1120M to DVG-1120S
So, I recently acquired an old DVG-1120M that was previously used with AT&T CallVantage service. It currently uses MGCP. I see online that there is a SIP version out there (DVG-1120S), which is essentially a DVG-1120M reflashed with the SIP firmware and the 'M' scraped off in favor of an 'S'. I've also seen people on this list saying that they flashed their M with S

rsyncing files in flash
HI all, I wonder how rsync works when files-to-be-updated are in flash (e.g. on IPAQ) Ideally rsync should write to the flash as little as possible (because of max reflash count) SO ideally the following should happen If file needs to be updated, the new file is created. Then the old file is deleted the new file is renamed to the old file (making sure that the file does not get copied over)

OpenVPN/SNOM 820: a review.
Hey, all. Got an SNOM 820 in the other day to kick the tires. As with many phones, provisioning it was a bit of a PITA. The biggest problem, as far as I could tell, was that their firmware just doesn't seem that stable, and is sometimes hard to get to. - I managed to corrupt the firmware twice; fortunately, instead of bricking the phone, there's a fairly easy-to-use "rescue

Mitel 5010
Does anyone know if this phone can or does work with Asterisk ? I have a potential client who wants to throw away their current mitel ip system (keeps crashing on a regular basis - not good for a phone-based company), but are reluctant to purchase new handsets. Thanks. Julian.

Cisco IP Phones and Skinny in asterisk 1.8.4.2 "tooooooooooooooooo"
Hi All; Again, the Cisco IP Phones 7942G and using Skinny: I upgraded the firmware to version 8.5 (skinny) and I am using skinny channel (chan_skinny) and the skinny.conf file. The phones are registering, but when we use them to place a call, we only hear tooooooooooo in the handset and we do not hear voice (even when we dial the digits, we only hear toooooooo .. but it dials and destination

CentOS 6, mptfusion software?
Hi, folks, Got an older Dell R410, with an LSI 1068E PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS (rev 08). It *appears* that a) trying MegaRaid, and b) from what I'm googling, that what I need are mptfusion-related packages. Unfortunately, yum shows me nothing available in base, epel, or rpmfusion. Am I looking for the wrong thing, or does anyone have a source (no, I haven't looked at LSI, sorry

CentOS Digest, Vol 74, Issue 31
thanks for the reply, Phil It would, were udev not inserting USB and/or eSATA drives at /dev/sdb1 and/or /dev/sdc1 and exposing the array to the udev rule intended to handle only removable devices (at sdc or sdd). The array then mounts unpredictably in /media/xxx-sdc1 or sdd1 - not what is wanted - depend on how many removable devices are plugged at the time of rebooting. Of course, a single
