Cisco 7906g & SIP
Hi, I have a problem with Cisco 7906G and SIP protocol use with Asterisk 1.2.26. I have uploaded in my tftp server the firmware 'cmterm-7911_7906-sip.8-0-4SR1' that use 'SIP11.8-0-4SR1S.loads' and in SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml I have: <loadInformation>SIP11.8-0-4SR1S</loadInformation> ..but in tftp log server I have: Oct 07 11:56:22 asterisk1.local

7940/60 TFTP Problem
...et it upgraded to SIP. Babak, Try a staged upgrade, especially is upgrading from a really old firmware. I.e., in OS79XX.TXT place an intermediate SIP image and then in SIPDefault.cnf put the image you wish to ultimately upgrade to. Here's my current files: [me@here tftpboot]# more OS79XX.TXT P0S30202 [me@here tftpboot]# more SIPDefault.cnf image_version:P0S3-04-4-00 proxy1_address: xx.xx.xx.xx tftp_cfg_dir: /configs/cisco7900/ proxy_register : 1 Phone starts off at Skinny 2.x, then upgrades to SIP 2.2 then to SIP 4.4. 4.4 could be assumably replaced by 5.3.... Cisco 7960 SIP Images
What you and so may others on this lise seem to forget is that Cisco is a company offering bsuiness products for businesses. Businesses typically pay by check and wire transfer, especially for items such as this. If you want home-user pay-by-credit-card service, buy products from Belkin's home line and similar. Oh...what's that? None of these cheesy Stocked-at-Costco hardware

Cisco 7960G phone crashes during SIP upgrade
Hello, I've recently received a Cisco 7960G phone with the factory default SCCP firmware on it. As we're using SIP on our network, the first things i've done was to upgrade but unfortunately the phone just restarted. By looking on the TFTP logs and tcpump output, i've seen that the phone crashed and restarted just after downloading the OS79XX.TXT file, without requesting the image
