Cisco 7940 [SIP], DTMF and Voicemail
Hi everyone, I'd say this question has come up and been answered before but I haven't been able to find it. I have a Cisco 7940 that I've upgraded to SIP firmware (currently P0S-3-06-3-00 - for some reason there was a failure when trying to upgrade to V7 so I left it at V6). The problem I'm having is that when I connect to voicemail the DTMF key presses dont seem to work

Cisco 7960 Problem - Phone Unprovisioned
Hi all, i have a problem with some cisco 7960. Yesterday i did a firmware-upgrade from 3.1 (1.2) with P0S30203.bin as described in the most documents. Now i get the message Phone unprovisioned and in TFTP-Log i find the following line: 07.03.2005 19:58 :Timeout error sending P0S3-07-3-00.bin to 192.168.0.83, 0 bytes So i think it now wants to load the file P0S3-07-3-00.bin. But i have not modified the...

7960 Not Picking up new firmware.
...elp from this list- the 7960 found it and updated to SIP the first firmware P0S30200. What I am now trying to do is upgrate through all the versions, as recommended, to the latest version, P003-07-3-00. I thought this would be accomplished by simply changing the sole line in the OS79XX.TXT file to P0S30203 and reboot the phone. But no success. Any pointers? Thanks Ferg

Asterisk - Different Subnet to phones (Cisco 7960)
...ddress. Previously the 7960 worked fine. Now, the phone (running SIP 4.4) will reset as soon as you attempt to call out. It will ring on an incoming call, but will reset as soon as the call is answered (sometimes during ringing). The phone will also reset at random intervals with no activity. The P0S30203 image will accept incoming calls, but it doesn't seem to want to make outgoing calls. I also tried putting the phone on the same subnet as the Asterisk box - no change. Just wondering if anybody has experienced this before, and what can be done to fix it. I want to use SIP with external gatew...

Cisco 7960 firmware upgrade promblems
I have a second-hand 7960 which I am attempting to upgrade to use a SIP image. The phone currently has a firmware release which doesn't seem to be listed in Cisco docs - P003AM30. On reboot, it finds the tftp server and requests the firmware image listed in OX79XX.txt correctly, displaying "Upgrading Software" on the screen. It then continues to re-request the same image from the

Upgrading the 7960 Image
...ing when it reaches the status message "upgrading". I have two other phones that successfully upgraded. When I researched on the internet it appears that there is a problem with upgrading directly from the image that is currently on this particular phone, PC030300, and that I should go to P0S30203.bin first. So far, so good. But, I don't have PC030300 and I'm finding it impossible to get the $8 support contract since I'm in the US. I tried google'ing on it with no luck. Is there someone out there who has this file that would be willing to email it to me? Any help will be ve...

Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Cisco 7960G phone crashes during SIP upgrade
Hello, I've recently received a Cisco 7960G phone with the factory default SCCP firmware on it. As we're using SIP on our network, the first things i've done was to upgrade but unfortunately the phone just restarted. By looking on the TFTP logs and tcpump output, i've seen that the phone crashed and restarted just after downloading the OS79XX.TXT file, without requesting the image
