I have a Win95 machine that I am trying to connect to a Samba share. When I log in as administrator, I can connect to any and all samba shares just fine. Is there a way to successfully create a working Briefcase on Samba shares? When I create one in a Samba share, it has a regular folder icon with a desktop.ini file in it. Openning it reveals a plain folder rather than the usual Briefcase applet. When I create one on a Windows NT network share it works fine, but all our big filesystems are unix-based Samba shares rather than NT shares. -Ernie

Has anyone tried DFS Client SW on a Win 95 machine and then tried to mount the usual samba drives? All I get is a login request that gets refused even with known, correct, credentials. Its appears just the same as the problem we got after installing SP3 on an NT4 machine before changing the registry.
