Samba 2.2.5 is crap.
Unstable windozes (hangs all the time)
Major bugs in the printing system, mount and smbmount commands.
Samba 2.2.5 is completely usable if you ask me. Crap I would say and
should never been released. I consider to change to Beeweb although it
cost money.
BTW how do u uninstall the dirt?? using ./uninstall ???

Fwd: Re: Connecting problem:Need Help
Yes they all were sussessful except for the test I couldnt perform.
I can see the linux icon in win neighborhood , but get server not accessible when I click
the icon. It must have something to do with the ns lockup in the windoze.

XP troubles
I've recently recompiled and reinstalled the latest Samba because
the version I was running wouldn't talk to Windows XP.
It still won't. Can anyone direct me to any docs, howtos, or other
docs concerning WinXP problems?
Thanks...

Convert Character to Date
Hello,
I have a date in the format Year-Month Name (e.g. 1990-January) and R classes it as a character. I want to convert this character into a date format, but when I try as.Date(1990-January, "%Y-%B"), I get back NA. The function strptime also gives me NA back. Thanks.

Bug#789683: klibc: fix mips build with fpxx enabled
James Cowgill dixit:

Hm, shouldn?t klibc not use the FPU at all? AFAIK it was unsupported
to use it.

How to Install and share a printer in SAMBA/SUSE 8.0 ??
I need a tutorial or a step-by-step routine to install and share
printers (local and/or remote) in my "Suse 8.0 Pro" server using SAMBA.
I've tried some configurations without full success.
The best one prints the job but ejects an extra blank sheet (do you
remember me now?).
So I decided to install it again from the beginning.
Thanks for your attention
Best regards?
?

Maybe not a problem, but all ./configure files work on my system from every kind of program.
But Samba doesn't seem to do so.
I'm starting ./configure file from the source directory so i think it should work then.
