fwd:Re: Asterisk prepaid debug
I use http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+callingcard You only should compile the prepaid.c (look at readme file). Regards. spandsp 0.0.2pre25
Hello, Is anyone successfully using spandsp 0.0.2pre25 with either asterisk 1.0.x or 1.2.4? I've built a Gentoo ebuild for this version of spandsp and app_rtxfax, and it builds, but I'm not having any luck getting it working. 99% of my test faxes fail. Reverting to 0.0.2pre20 yields a much higher success rate. I've bumped the console debugging level in logger.conf to include debug

rxfax/spandsp fails to decode
Hi, I just sent this to Steve Underwood, but then found a bunch of posts on the mailing list about similar issues.. does anyone have the fix? I'm running asterisk CVS-HEAD-06/28/04-18:13:13, spandsp 0.0.1k, libtif 3.5.7 one thing i just noticed is that calls come in with format '72' which is G711A-law or LinearPCM.. it uses PCM for the call, i assume this is ok the results of RxFAX

SpanDSP: Training failed (sequence failed)
Hello All ~ Having problems sending and receiving faxes with SpanDSP. I am testing on a simple 2 analog POTS to 2x X100p set up, connecting one line to a Konica 720 fax machine to test, or with other remote fax machines. Voice calls are working pretty well now. Platform is P3/800MHz/256MB/FC1. * recognizes faxes, and passes calls to RxFax and TxFax OK, but 99.9% of the time no fax content is sent

Asterisk rxfax(): One page gets two pages
Hi, so far I had our PRI line connected via Digium TE410P and ZAP channel to asterisk which worked perfectly. I now have a second line coming in through a H.323 gateway and chan_oh323. rxfax() still works and receives faxes with G.711 alaw codec, but I always get one empty first page via H.323 - a one-page-fax becomes a two-page-fax with one empty page in front of it. It seems the empty page

fax still fails, ideas sought! Re: rxfax/spa ndsp fails to decode
Sorry to bore you more with the clock issue, but have you check /proc/zaptel/<span> to make sure it's not missing interrupts? There's also an option to record the audio for the fax, you could listen to that vs a recorded file that will receive correctly on a fax machine and see whether there is an obvious difference? (Good luck, that'll be really scraping the barrel!!) Does it

spandsp rxfax crashes *
Rxfax answers, makes handshake, and crashes once the page starts to send. It receives a .tif file of 8 bytes. rxfax crashing asterisk and YES I'm using an approved libtiff :-)
I'm running asterisk CVS HEAD from 20040601 with spandsp 0.0.1k and libtiff 3.6.0 (no other copies are installed). I've put the audio files up at http://www.mixdown.ca/~andrew/dump/akohlsmith-faxsegfault.tgz -- the machine I am faxing from is a Canon IR3300 printer/copier/fax, but I get similar crashes from $29.95 fax machines too. :-) I'm trying to get a decent backtrace but

I am also having problems receiving my first fax. I get a 320byte file (for a 4 page fax). If I look a the tiff generated, is just has some few dots. I am sending the fax from a notebook with Windows XP to an X100P and using libtiff v3.5.7. Has anyone successfully received faxes ? Softfax/spandsp
Hi all, After a long time having no time, I have finally done some fresh work on my software fax machine. I have replaced the original carrier tracking with something more robust. I have also added 4800, and 2400 bits per second modes, and cleaned up a few bugs in areas like superfine mode operation. I apologise for this update taking so long. At ftp://ftp.opencall.org/pub/spandsp you will

spandsp and certain (e.g. Canon) fax machines
Hi, Several people have reported problems sending faxes from spandsp-0.0.1k to Canon FAX machines. A spandsp user had the same problem with another make of FAX machine, and traced the problem to a bug in the file t30.c of spandsp. Line 542 says s->t4.rx_file[0] where it should say s->t4.tx_file[0]. This fixes his problem, and I suspect it will also fix the Canon fax machine problem.

has_many, belongs_to
I have one table(profiles) where each row has many rows in another table(carriers). If I write profile.carriers I get a collection containing all carriers that belong to the current profile. My question is: how do I sort the collection profile.carriers? I would like to sort it on one of the columns (found in the table carriers). Can I override some method in the carrier model or somewhere

fax still fails, ideas sought! Re: rxfax/spa ndsp fails to decode
On the /proc/zaptel it was lost interrupts, you haven't got any so that's good! On opencall.org there's a known issues link and that mentions some fax machines that have issues, might be worth a quick check there. I can receive from our fax machine this end, if you'd like I'll send you a test fax if you send me your fax number, if you can receive from us and tpc then it's

OpenH323-Channel Q.931-Problems with Gatekeeper
Dear Mailinglist-User currently we`re working with an IP-PBX, based on Asterisk, with SIP, H.323 and ISDN-Capabilities. SIP and ISDN works fine, but H.323 not. In our first test, we started to connect Asterisk to an Cisco IOS-Gatekeeper with the "chan_oh323" (version 0.6.5). We successfully tested in/egress calls without any problems. But when we started to connect our Asterisk

txfax spandsp
I've been using spandsp and rxfax to receive faxes for a while now and over the past few days I've looked into the other side of things - txfax. I can't seem to get it working properly. I've included debug logs below of both the tx and rx side of things. I've tried three different servers, asterisk v1.0.6, 1.0.9 and CVS, FC2 and FC4, libtiff 3.5.7 and 3.7.1, TE405P and

strange sip behavior (looping back to my own extension vm)
Hello- I am currently testing with a carrier that seems to be having some trouble around toll-free (800 number) access. While a problem, its the resulting behavior that I'm finding disconcerting. When I dial an 800#, I get the following response: -- Executing Macro("SIP/2700-e10b", "carrier-out|18005558355|70|r") in new stack -- Executing
