Frustrated with echo...
...k on, without dealing with a PCI card to move, but if the consensus is that the voice quality and support for the digium board is the best, then that's what I'll do..
So, any comments on relative quality of these devices, and/or ones I've missed?
1: Grandstream HT-488
2: Zoom 5801/5802
3: DGM-TDM02B (TDM 400P with two FXOs)
Are there any IAX2 FXOs that I'm missing? That seems to be an area that's oddly not taken care of...
Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

seeking current supported crypto co-processors
...ebsd-net>
I'm seeking current cryptographic coprocessors supported in FreeBSD 8.x. By perusing through the crypto-dev (and subsequently referenced) man page(s) I found this list:
Hifn 7751/7951/7811/7955/7956 crypto accelerator
SafeNet 1141/1741
Bluesteel 5501/5601
Broadcom bcm5801/5802/5805/5820/5821/5822/5823/5825
Those are all pretty old (and in some cases, no longer existent). I'm surveying these lists to see if anyone knows of more modern chips working with FreeBSD 8.x. Or if you feel some chip on the list above is up to the task of near about 1 Gb throughput acr...

2.8.1. Testing with a java enabled browser
Let us assume that mymachine has an IP address of 192.168.0.10. The URL to connect to each of the users will be:
Larry is http://192.168.0.10:5801 (should be 5901)
Moe is http://192.168.0.10:5802 (should be 5902)
Curly is http://192.168.0.10:5803 (should be 5903)
Connect to http://192.168.0.10:5801. A java applet window will pop-up showing a connection to your machine at port 1. Click the [ok] button. Enter larry's VNC password, and a 640x480 window should open using the default window...

Transient xen performance issue
I''m installing Xen with the OpenSUSE 10.2 distro and the
bigsmp-2.6.18.8-0.13.i586 kernel. However, I occasionally get insane
amounts of slowdown (almost 100x) in dom0. On bootup, performance is
normal. After an undeterministic period of time, I get this crazy
amount of slowdown. I''m not sure why this is the case and I have spent
a long time trying to figure it out.

New native assisted transfer (atxfer) usage info required
Hi, I would like to use the new atxfer (native assisted transfer, see
mantis item #3241) , but I've partially been able to
make it work.
I can receive a call and then having the caller hear MOH while talking
with another extension (the one I want to transfer to), but then I can't
make the caller and the trasferred talk hanging up or pressing any key
combination I'm aware of.

Also, the redhat-releae\* package could be -workstation, -server,

Any comments?

Feature request SCRAM-SHA-256
Hi,
is that here the right place to make feature requests?
dovecot supports as authentication mechanism
SCRAM-SHA-1 from RFC 5802
which was updated to
SCRAM-SHA-256 in RFC 7677
Can SCRAM-SHA-256 be added to the authentication mechanisms?
I would not like to request, that SCRAM-SHA-1 will be exchanged by
SCRAM-SHA-256, since several applications only support SCRAM-SHA-1
Regards

VOIP Service Providers
Hello,
I am looking for a VOIP Service Provider to work with getting started with
Asterisk.
Does anyone have any brief recommendations? Ease of use and support are
the key criteria.
