SYSLINUX 3.85 released
Syslinux 3.85 is a bug fix and minor new feature release. The biggest change is undoubtedly that gPXELINUX is now considered feature complete, and should be able to be a drop-in for PXELINUX for all uses. Special thanks to Intel Corporation, my current employer, for their support for my Syslinux work. Changes in 3.85: * gPXELINUX: updated to gPXE 1.0.0. gPXELINUX can now do NBP

FAX application does not work for me....
Hi, I have tried to install and configure the FAX app using the steps described in several mails on this list. When a FAX call arrives on X100P, the fax extension is executed, which looks like: exten => fax,1,RxFax(/var/spool/asterisk/incoming/${CALLERIDNUM}.tif) exten => fax,2,Hangup It tries to negociate, but nothing is received at the end and the other part times out. More, after this

ISOLINUX 3.85 chain.c32 issue
Hi all, I have a similar issue with Thomas Mieslinger mentioned in the previous mail. The difference is here isolinux is used instead of gpxelinux.0. I use isolinux 3.85, and "chain.c32 hd0" to boot the local Debian Lenny Linux on VMWare workstation 6.5, it fails. If I replace it with isolinux 3.84, it works. Hope this report helps. Recovery console doesn't work in chain.c32 3.85 or 3.86-pre1
The Windows recovery console doesn't work with chain.c32 3.85 or 3.86-pre1. COM32 chain.c32 APPEND cmldr=/cmldr Initially reported by cdob at: http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=10487#entry94001 It did work fine with the: "chain.c32: Handle nonlinear logical partitions" patch. The following patch broke the recovery console hack: chain.c32: add option to set hidden

Problems reciving fax with Asterisk
Hi, I am trying to recice a fax with * using SpanDSP - but it doesn't create the output file. (See the bottom of log file). * Loads both app_rxfax.so and app_txfax.so fine. Also I can't make * autodetect an incomming fax call (yes I have enabled faxdetect=both in zapata.conf - though it's not a Zap device) Any ideas are welcome :-) Best Regards Michael L?jtnant System Details:

ogglame and LAME 3.85 beta
Hi there, I have a question on ogglame, especially on its compression quality. I've download the binary package of ogglame from www.vorbis.com. It works fine. I've also tried LAME 3.85 beta that supports the encoding and decoding of Vorbis streams. I believe that ogglame is a beta version of LAME. I built LAME using libvorbis in the CVS nightly snapshot fetched on July 19th. I fixed

Hi, i'm trying to boot an 135mb acronis iso image with syslinux but have no luck, client gets stuck[1] a few seconds after selecting the image - i used linux memdisk initrd acronis/acronis_home_2010_multi.iso append iso tftpd-log shows: Mar 25 14:45:15 smbsrv in.tftpd[18837]: RRQ from 192.168.0.102 filename pxelinux.cfg/default Mar 25 14:45:15 smbsrv in.tftpd[18838]: RRQ from 192.168.0.102

RxFAX generates no tiff file
Hi, I am trying to receive a fax with the spandsp library. The sending fax says "success" but there is no tiff file generated. I use "exten => 7000,1,rxfax(/tmp/testfax.tif)" in my extensions.conf. The connection is via SIP/G.711 as I have read on the list that this can sometimes work (I know Fax over IP is troublesome without T.38). I think the transmission should not

Syslinux 3.85-pre7: new tool "sysdump"
So I realized I really need a better way to collect information from problematic machines, so I spent today rewriting the old memdump tool into a new "sysdump" tool. sysdump can write its output either to a serial port using ymodem[1] or over the network using TFTP *if* it was booted from the network, using PXELINUX. John R.: I would obviously like you to try this on the machine that

INCLUDE is broken in pxelinux/menu.c32 3.85
I was trying out the INCLUDE command within menu.c32 (via pxelinux, actually gpxelinux) and noticed that it's broken. The symptom is that the text is included, as expected, but the subsequent text from the including file is wrong. In some cases it actually pulls from above the INCLUDE leading to the INCLUDE being reprocessed (an infinite recursion). (The recursion seems to stop after 20-30

estimating NA values against selected slots
Dear R Users, Could you please help me on the following issue? I have a real large yearly data set. For each year I have 365 flow values. Some of the flow values are not known and that’s why you will see NA written in those slots. I wanted to know, is there a way that I can estimate those values? I tried approx command but it seems least helpful for the kind of issue I am up against.

Syslinux 3.85 chain.c32 problem solved
Thanks to debugging information from Thomas Mieslinger, I have root-caused the failure of chain.c32 in Syslinux 3.85. I have put out Syslinux 3.86-pre1 and Syslinux 4.00-pre33 which fix the problem. I expect to release a Syslinux 3.86 relatively shortly (ideally in the next two weeks), with bug fixes only. I would like to figure out if there are other bug fixes we can get in in reasonable time,

scandsp, voicetronix and rxfx
Hi all, Trying to get fax reception going using a voicetronix openline4 card, however, there are two issues (as far as I can see) (1) Currently the voicetronix world (cards, firmware, drivers, channel prog etc.) does not do fax tone detection. I have spoken to the voicetronix guys , understand what has to happen there and may do some hacking if I can resolve the second issue. Meanwhile, I
