However, I suggest you try upgrading to bookworm and with it Samba from backports. Rowland

I'm not sure why I have been so convinced that "Buster" was the last 32-bit release of Debian, but I will investigate. On a personal note, I will mention that I was programming and using Gnu/Linux for many years and then stopped any kind of such, aside from email, for about 8 years. I lost a lot of knowledge in that time and have been slowly, painfully re-learning. And relying heavily on people like you to offer me a clue here and there. Soren A
