[Samba] Concerns about failed tests in build from git source on Debian Gnu/Linux

I had a collection of defunct 32-bit machines that I decided needed a new lease on life for at least a couple years, and I am an enthusiast rather than a professional so a 64-bit machine is not provided to me by an employer. I appreciate the suggestion that I look into bookworm backports for v4.21.5. I would still love to get an assessment regarding the test failures, perhaps someone still running a 32-bit machine will read this and feel like sharing their knowledge / experience. However, I suggest you try upgrading to bookworm and with it Samba from backports. Rowland

I had a collection of defunct 32-bitBookrworm also has 32 bit i386 version. Trixie will not have 32 bit kernel for i386 (i686), but 32 bit userland can be used with amd64 kernel. Unfortunately latest 32 bit Samba AD does not work with Windows 11 because 32 bit time_t limits. And Trixie will keep 32 bit time_t in i386 (other 32 bit architectures will switch to 64 bit time_t ABI). -- Virgo P?rna virgo.parna at mail.ee
