samba - Mar 2009 - inconsistent log file names

Hello All,

i am using samba 3.0.28 and have set my log file naming convention to

log level = log.%U.%m


and have observed the ff logfiles being generated:

log..pc1
log.user.pc1
log..192.168.1.1

To make matters worse, logging of entries seem to be randomly appened to these
files.

Any suggestions on how to cure this? tia
