How to write to a table column by column?
...ements, therefore, I
have to store the lists as columns. It is not hard to store one list as a
column in the csv file. The problem is how to store the second list as a
second column, so that the two columns will lie side by side to each other
and I can easily compare their elements. ( If I use 'appened=TRUE', the
second time series will be stored in the same column. )
Thank you for your tine and your help will be highly appreciated!!

problem with plot() and POSIXt dates
Hy all,
I'm plotting graphs using plot() function, they are on X axes POSIX dates:
"POSIXt" "oldClass" "POSIXct" "POSIXlt"
I can't figure out why sometimes it prints the month and days and sometimes it prints the unix timestamp.
It appens usually when the xlim is short like only some days.
xlim is settled as a POSIXt like this

What happens without the leading "-x"? (just "productid=0004")
The "-x" is what you would add if you were running the driver from the command line.

Restricting rsync over ssh
...itations :
1. No shell access
2. Limitting users to their home directories
I was thinking to the folowing solution, but i don't know if it is
secure enough :
Create a dummy-shell sor ssh login that only allow the rsync --server
--sender command. Then i get the path of the wanted files, and i appened
it to the home directory of the user. Ex : the user requests /test, i
give him : /home/usrname/test
Then i uses the realpath function to canonicalize the path and i check
that it really begins with /home/usrname to prevent users from getting
files outside of their home directory.
I execute the...

Windows ACLs (non samba)
Hi all,
I'm facing a Windows relative problem, maybe you can help, else please
disregard, this is out of Samba scope.
Bash script creates each day a folder in share with correct ACLs (thanks
to samba-tool ntacl set) that prohibits anyone except Administrators
group to modify/delete, Authentified Users can browse/read.
In this new folder (named 2011-11-06), 3 subfolders are created with

Cups printers autoloading and windows drivers
Hello samba team !
I have configured a samba4 printer with CUPS as backend. And I have
enabled the "load printers = yes" option in smb.conf.
Nearly everything works well !
-> Samba detect the CUPS printers
-> The printers appear automatically in the "printers" share
-> On windows 7 I can add the server the printmanagement.msc and I see
the printers

menu.c32 works on serial console, but hdt.c32 displays on vga only.
Hello all:
I just downloaded and built syslinux-3.74-pre11 and installed it. I
set it to boot and run on the serial port/serial console and when I
switch to menu mode (by typing "menu" at the boot: prompt), it
works. In the older version I got the upper left corner of the dialog
box drawn and that was it. So that is terrific, thanks.
However when I am on the serial console and I run

inconsistent log file names
Hello All,
i am using samba 3.0.28 and have set my log file naming convention to
log level = log.%U.%m
and have observed the ff logfiles being generated:
log..pc1
log.user.pc1
log..192.168.1.1
To make matters worse, logging of entries seem to be randomly appened to these files.
Any suggestions on how to cure this? tia

Patch: Parse append arguments properly in mboot module
...name of the kernel module and promptly fails cuz it can't
find "ip=.." or "bootif=...".
I'm attaching a patch which basically looks for any arguments in the argv[]
array and appends them to the kernel cmdline. The arguments have to be
back-to-back to be considered "appened options", so this should be safe
enough to not take out-of-place arguments and tack onto the kernel cmdline.
Last time i sent in some of the elf section loader patches, i think Peter
had trouble importing time. Hopefully it works now.
thanks,

Problem with grandstream devices and DTMF signalling
Hi,
I've got a problem with some grandstram devices (namely a couple of
budgetone 101 and an ata-486). The point is that, unless I use inband
for DTMF, asterisk ignore the first digit dialed. Inband DTMF forces me
to use A-law/Mu-law, which is not what I want.
BTW, this appens after a Playtones(), waiting for user entering an
extension.
I've tried many solutions, played around with
