I am having some issues with the mapping of groups. I want to map one AD group to one unix group (don't care much about the rest), but the problem is that I can't find the group. The Linux machine I am using is part of the AD already and I can get users to log in via winbind authentication but I need to restrict who can log in. If I do net groupmap modify ntgroup="Linux Users" unixgroup="deploy" -U administrator I get an error telling me that the group doesn't exist. If I do net groupmap list I get a list of groups that seem to correspond to the built-in ones, no matter if i use -U administrator or not If I do net group -U administrator I then get all the groups, including the one I want to map. Can anyone give me a hint on why is this happening? I am using samba-3.0.10-1.4E.11 on CentOS 4.
