[Samba] Samba with Kerberos on Active Directory: explorer hang
Hello everybody, Apologizes for my english, I'm french :-) I have set up several samba file servers in my company. Authentification using kerberos works well with the Windows 2000 Active Directory server. Everything is fine, windows clients use them and we are really happy with them. The point is I have a strange behaviour/phenomemon for which I am totally unable to find a rational explanation. After a few times (about 1 hour), windows clients (explorer) hang / are freezing when they try to access samba shares. They are no longer able to reach samba servers using the smb protocol. It is really strange because when they log out and in again within their windows session (without rebooting the computer), everything work well again...until the next time ! It is a big issue for us because users are exaspered when it happen during their work, and such a problem is never encountered with windows servers. I have absolutely no ideas of what could be the guilty thing. Do somebody have ever experienced such a behaviour? I really would like to avoid going back to Windows for the file servers... Regards, S?bastien from France
