samba - Sep 2006 - smbd crash

I can't have my smbd started as it crashes all the time.

Seems to panic with the tdbsam backend

Did your passd parameter at the smb.conf like this:

   passdb backend = tdbsam guest


then you have to change to 

  passdb backend = tdbsam
